It's now late May, two weeks after Ebony's birthday. The date of the trial is going to be around late July. The location is in Denver, Colorado (since the kidnapping happened in that state).

Okay, I think I've kept quiet long enough.
I seriously don't know what to do about Swept Away, but I really did need a break because I've been upset for the past couple of days concerning my cat's health. I was genuinely worried about her. She has had to have surgery on her tail, but she is okay now. They are keeping her overnight, though, so I didn't get to bring her home with me. One of the reasons is that she's about 9 years old and it's harder for her to come out of the anesthesia they had given her at the vets.
My problem is that I am really stuck because for the most part of what has happened so far in the RP. I'm really tired of the fact that some of my characters get focused on and others don't, even when the latter are the more active ones, and also that I've been trying my hardest to include everyone still involved in the RP and it's wearing me out basically. Sometimes, I really do hate the fact that I'm the one who has to come up with ideas now. It's draining on me.
I'm just not very sure whether or not I want to continue. The RP's gone on long enough, hasn't it?
You can see my dilemma, can't you?

First, best wishes for the recovery of your cat. I know what it's like to deal with an ailing pet.
Perhaps it may be best to retire this RP. It's been going on since March 2007, that's a good enough run. It would be possible, though, to start offshoots in other directions if you're so inclined, which is already taking place.

Thanks. She'll recover when I go to pick her up tomorrow.
But, I think it's a good idea to put the RP to rest for now. I wish I had some ideas for offshoot RPs, though I'm a bit dry at the moment if you wanted to do one with me.

I have no objections. Perhaps in a while someone might return to it with some fresh ideas.

I'm fine with that.
Thank you for understanding.

Now I don't have an RP to play in. I'm without an RP and I'm not sure anybody wants me to RP with them.
I feel so unwanted. Just great.
Why am I being ignored?

EboneeV, you're welcome to join us in the "Ruined Earth" RP. We just set up an entry point for you. I'd be happy to help you iron out any issues that you have.

That's just it. I have problems coming into an RP that has gone on for more than 100 pages. I don't know what roles any of my characters would play and I haven't updated their histories since I've last played them. So I don't really know what's going on or how my characters would react in some situations.

In the SA timeline, this takes place fifteen years after the blowup. It would be seven or eight years since "Treasure Hunt." You might take Delfina's status at that middle point and build off of that.
As Bree and Ben Stokes also have connections to your OC's we could also work on helping to update them as well. I also just introduced this child user character (a young warship) who could really use some guidance, considering that she is going to have the power to Jaunt (travel long distances instantaneously, within certain constraints ). With Bree getting spirited off and changed into a human of a slave class in post-blowup earth, her husband would almost certainly want to get over there and join the search for her. A PI would be good at that, regardless of locale. As for what he's been doing in the intervening years, suppose that he and Luke have grown their PI business to include other employees? Then, it would be safe for one partner to take a leave of absence for a while.

Shale would definitely come. He can trust Luke to take care of the PI business while he was gone on the rescue mission.
Freda and Stokes would probably be married and have children by now, right? Like the scientist she is, she'll also want to know what kind of ocean life had been left in the humanverse as well as well as providing support and helping to raise Stokes' moral.
And maybe I can bring back Nerisa as well?
And as for Delfina, I think after the misadventure in Treasure Hunt, she'd be a little more guarded with her powers now. Maybe she comes with Freda, whom she trusts to transport her across now.

Sure, bring anyone you feel like bringing. I'm sure Annikki (the kid warship, Hamina-class missile boat from Finland) would enjoy introducing Freda to her new dolphin buddies (quite a few left in the south hemisphere where the volcanic winter wasn't so bad (but economic and social chaos also took a vicious toll on the human population). Climate-wise, things are returning to normal, though still unsettled in places. There are a LOT of uninhabited buildings and regions, especially in the north.
Northern Europe has become unstable, fought over by warlords. There is more stability in the southern and Mediterranean regions, but the Middle East is again becoming a powder keg. One of the regrettable after-effects of the collapse of international law is piracy, slavery, debt-peonage and indentured servitude coming back out from under their rocks, as pretty much the entire population of Iceland found out to its regret. However, slavery and like systems of servitude are outlawed in the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Chile, Argentina, the Phillippines, Japan and the remnants of the U.S. outside the devastated lower forty-eight (Hawaii, Guam, the bases at Samoa, Midway, Wake, Diego Garcia and Puerto Rico) The UK has also technically prohibited slavery, but is in a state of anarchy with large cities like Liverpool, Manchester and Belfast becoming effectively city-states and laws unto themselves, national political authority is difficult to enforce outside of London. Russia, and Switzerland, of all the northern states, have probably come out the best due to their extensive emergency preps.
If Delfina trusts Freda, that's fine. We won't have to modify our posts that much. You want to work out what kind of a family Freda and Ben would have? And what should we do about Bree and Shale's family? Rework that?

I think Freda and Ben would have a daughter, Ariel, by now. They may be planning on having another one soon.
And probably just keep Bree and Shale's family the same. I can be creative. Though, it might help if I knew a little bit more about their adopted children.

OK - would Freda be feeling brave enough to bring her child across? Robin will probably bring Melissa, who at thirteen is old enough to handle herself here.
As for Bree and Shale's adopted kids, here is what I worked up.
Joel - Cormorant/Super Puma mix. Adopted at the age of four, now about eight, will be a big guy once he matures. Had some baggage from abuse/neglect in his early childhood, but is now coming along nicely.
Aspasia, or "Daisy" - Sikorsky S76, abandoned at birth at an airport hospital, adopted at 1 yr., now about five years old. Fewer issues early on than Joel.
As Bree had pretty much spent the time between "Treasure Hunt" and "Ruined Earth" in reserve status, she has lived with Shale in Colorado much of that time, being wife, mother and PTA volunteer as well as keeping track of the investments she made with her salary that has been accumulating in escrow all these years because she's always lived in service housing that came with the job. Then her commission was reactivated (with a promotion to Captain's rank) shortly before "Ruined Earth", and she was reunited with Greg and Ben Stokes, as getting the personnel she wanted was a condition of coming back. Since then, she has been representing the carsverse USCG in the human world and finding herself playing diplomat as much as guardian once the remaining human-world Americans come to direct inquiries her way.
