Gorramit! I didnt say that this would be the final Kamui! Just an idea that I wanted to pitch in to check how people would think of it. We can still go with the impropability Disk thing. I can easily just throw that idea to the crapper as it seems it ain't getting much support. I am not the kind of person who latches onto storylines yelling "Mine!" and "FINAL!!" It's not really your fault, Elizer. I just get the strong feeling that Ebony doesn't want me involved so I'm staying out. I will participate in other RPs, I just won't be doing TIRS anymore.... or more like TIRS: The Next Generation. ~Kamui.EXE

I am open to compromise as long as it does not get my characters stuck, like it has been doing previously.

Okay, let's start bit afresh. We got the impropability disk, and the gateway. Do any of you have any other plot, wish to improve either of the two plots points, including splizing them together, or simply agree of one plot or another. Or wish to back out.

I would like a plot where I can follow along easily and be able to understand what is going on. I like the StarGate plot because I can at least understand how it works (look at me, I'm a stupid sci-fi geek, okay?).

I'll probably have the initial Andrea opening sometime today. I'll try my best not to explicitly name the cause of how humans started ending up in the Cars world in the first place but I will imply the action that happened prior to her entry, i.e. the car accident.
I am no negotiator, and I hope that we can resolve the situation in that we can see both of your sets of characters Trapped in Radiator Springs.

I would like a plot where I can follow along easily and be able to understand what is going on. I like the StarGate plot because I can at least understand how it works (look at me, I'm a stupid sci-fi geek, okay?). But the catch is, I don't understand Stargate. I've hardly seen the show. All I know is buttons do stuff. The rest to mean means about as much as a hill of beans.... which means that it doesn't mean much at all. For all I know, there could be one giant universal game of Mousetrap running the show! So the plot would really only benefit Stargate fans. For others like myself, we're in the dark. You bring up Stargate mumbo-jumbo and I'm going to look at you sideways which means that I'll be EXTREMELY useless here because I won't be able to BS anything anymore or have the same amount of flexibility. For a hacker character, it isn't going to work which makes a HUGE mess of things and further more with that in place, none of my characters would have a nice clean fit and I don't feel like inventing more. I'm sorry, but you've forced me out of this and I won't be comming back to TIRS: The Next Generation at all. Period. Exunt. End of Line. You've made it very clear that you don't want me involved or to interfear - So I respect your wishes and I won't. Carry on without me, then. ~Kamui.EXE

I just like to say three words that describe me pretty well when it comes to computers:
I AM STUPID!!!!!
There! I said it! All I know about them is to turn them on, surf the web, send emails, post on message boards, maybe even create an HTML document that would end up just as stupid as I feel, and then turn them off.

No one said you had to know too much about them. Everything about computers in the old RP was 95% BS. Meaning you were entirly free to be as inventive as you wanted. Matter of fact, there were a few things I really DIDN'T know but still went with it and BS'd a lot anyways. Alot of it was purely sci-fi. For instance, The Disk was purely Douglas Adams with Return To Castle Wolfenstein mixed in all wrapped up in a nice neat little package that can be built off of. I also added a little Star Trek in there for good measure. But was careful to try to BS my way out and try to explain this stuff with a whole hord of BS where you didn't need a background in Star Trek or any other TV/Movie/Book/Manga fandom in order to understand at least a little bit. I wanted to do something fluid over something ridged. Go the Stargate way, and you'll limit me ten fold and I can't go on.
So in that regard, I've made my decision and I won't be in TIRS unless some miracle happens. I'm not going to explain this anymore or continue explaining myself or my decisions otherwise I'd be repeating myself way too much.
Sorry.

Kamui's leaving, the only one besides me who has a slight interest in that plot I wrote with a headache is EbonyViper, so guess what that means?
We need something new, if TIRS is going to be RPed. I give up.

I am currently re-considering using the Andrea introduction as it clearly left no room for debate or compromise. Somehow it's like I'm going to miss at least half of the RP that I already missed. (Logic bites. XD)
Stay tuned.
EDIT: On a lighter note, maybe VolksDragon could cut out that "OMG TALKING CAR" segment from his sketch, color that, and use it as the official banner of the TIRS? XD

Why cannot we just use everything? The impropability disk shattering could have caused the gates to open in the first place, which would then in turn give a good way home for those who choose it. Shattering the improbability disk could be the trigger for everyone's events.

Interesting point you bring up, Elizar. There really doesn't have to be a main story arch, but a lot of subarches in which each individual character uses to try to find a way home.
And another idea is that what if while the two guys had gotten the portal working someone hacked into the computers that were giving the portal power and caused it to crash and send humans to the Cars World. The Improbability Disc could be used for this.
Fierano, I think that using Volksdragon's, "OH GOD A TALKING CAR" sketch would be perfect for the TIRS banner. Would bring out some humor.

It may work but please spair me the StarGate stuff. Also, lets not totally forget how the Disk works. It's a TRANSPORTATION device and not a HACKING device. You can't hack with it. There's a slight wrench in that form of logic. Otherwise the Disk CAN'T be the Improbability Disk anymore.

yYou spare us the disk explanation, since though I am also a computer geek, you just lost me completly. And we wil spare you the gate explanation.
Mutual respect for each other odd ideas, you (pural) have your way, and we will have our.
