Everyone just picked a spot at the far ends of the ball-room while Sammy set up the Stereo.
Finally, Sammy turned it on, got in the center of the floor and started.
Rock music began to play and she started singing,

Everyone cheered.
"Thank you, thank you very much." Sammy said, then laughed to herself.
"Not bad," Brenda said, "A little rusty, but, hey! Who's perfect?"
"Rusty? Well then, why don't you take your turn and see who's really rusty?" Sammy said.
"Alright, I will!" she took Sammy's CD out, put another one in, pressed 'Play' and...
Nothing.
"Crap!" Brenda smacked it, "Stupid thing."
"Dah, ha!" Sammy teased.
"Uh," Lucy said, "We're having a slight problem, so if you all could just mellow out for a bit, that'd be great, thanks."
Figuring that this would take a while, Doc went up to the second floor again and explored some more. He came across a door with a sign that said 'KEEP OUT! PRIVATE!'. Doc scoffed. He looked around and made sure no one was there, then pushed the door open with a tire, "Oopsie." he said, and rolled in. It was dark so he clicked on the light.
It was a large room with beautiful carpeting and an old fireplace. On top of the firplace were picture frames and a couple trophies. He went over to investigate. His eyes widened. They were pictures of a younger Myrna. Some were her holding the trophies that were on the fireplace with the pictures and some were of her singing. He read one of the trophies, 'Myrna Hornet, winner, singing contest, 1986.' He read the other two. They said the same thing, but different dates, 1987, and 1988.
"The sign says 'Keep out'." said a harsh voice from behind.
Doc turned around and saw Myrna glaring at him in the doorway.
"You're Myrna Hornet?" he asked.
She ignored his question and rolled behind him, "I knew you weren't the brightest car in the world, but I thought you could atleast read somthing big and in bold print."
"I don't know how I missed this before! You're the 'Angel of Music'!"
She started to push him out the door, "If you don't leave in five seconds--"
"I don't get it." he said, "You were a great singer! Why would you quit?"
Myrna stopped. She stalked toward him, "You think I quit?!"
She opened a drawer and pulled out an article. She slid it to him.
The headline read, 'Angel of Music Loses Voice. Out of Contest for Rest of Year.'.
"Right," he said, "You were in that crash and...lost your voice for a while."
"They quit on me." she said, "When my voice was back, I went back the next year expecting a big welcome." she turned away and looked into the fireplace, "Turns out, they found someone younger and "better" during that time I was out. I lost the one thing that really mattered to me...my fiancee, Alan." she said sadly, "He's the one that helped me get to where I was. His family took me in when I was a girl, after...what happened to my family. Now, he's gone too."
She sang,

She continued to stare at the fireplace sadly, "I keep that to remind me never to go back to that life. Brenda, Sammy, and Lucy are the only ones I have. You should consider yourself lucky...what you have."
Doc felt horrible, "Myrna," he said sadly, "I didn't know."
"Just go." she said quietly.
Doc just looked down and backed out, leaving Myrna alone in her thoughts.
Doc drove back down silently.
"HA!" Brenda said to Sammy, "IN YOUR FACE!" she exclaimed, getting the stereo to work.
"Where were you, Doc?" Sheriff asked.
"Oh, just...nowhere." he said.
"Ok," Brenda said happily, "My turn."

After a while, Lightning noticed that Doc wasn't looking very miserable as he was before, but he looked sad, "Doc?" he said, "You ok?"
The old Hornet turned to him, "Huh? Oh, yeah...I'm fine."
Lightning knew he was lying but went along with him. He didn't want to get him mad.
"Ok," Brenda said, "Anyone wanna dance?"
"ME!" Fillmore, Sheriff, and Sarge said.
"Ok." Lucy laughed.
"I'll sing." Sammy said.
Brenda shot her a look, "Nuh, uh! Me!"
"Me!"
"Me!"
"Hey. Hey. HEEEEEY!!" Lucy shouted.
The two girls looked at her.
"Thank you. Now, why don't you play for it?" she suggested.
Brenda and Sammy nodded. They outstretched their antennas, "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"
"Ha!" Sammy said, "Fire. I win."
"Nope," Brenda said, "Water balloon."
"DANG!"
"Ok," Lucy said, "Get your partners."
Mater moaned, "I think I'm gonna sit out. My tank hurts from all dat fuel."
Lightning got with Sally, Sammy asked Sarge to cruise, Fillmore cruised with Brenda, and Lucy went with Sarge.
Doc just sat next to one of the pillars that held the second floor up.
