I agree with it.
But I'd like to get Delfina in this soon, at least introduce her and give her background story. I know we can't do anything major until Kamui gets back, but I'd like to do this.

OK, nothing stops you from working on that. If everything's a go after, you'll have it ready.

I will.
Now, I was thinking... while we're waiting for Kamui, how about we have a little drama with one of the kids, say Justin, who runs away from home (maybe while the rest of the kids are asleep and it's up to the adults to track him down) because he blames himself for what he's put his mother through while she was in term with him...
It would take a lot of convincing that his mother, Ebony, doesn't blame him at all, but loves him... and it would make him more accepting to going on the trip with the others...

And maybe someone else who blamed herself for what happened to her parents could talk to Justin, like Phoenix for example.
Tempest helped her get over her guilt. And she wouldn't mind paying it forward to someone.

It's going to take A LOT of convincing to get through to Justin... he's going to make this hard on everyone...

Yeah, that would work.

Okay...
Uh, is there anything that needs to be wrapped up before we get started on this?

Not that I can think of.

I feel like a messenger here. XD
Anyway, I just got word back from Kamui on DA, and she says that she's a little iffy on the human storyplot and thinks it may end up like the TIRS roleplay (Yeah, I told her about it). So it probably won't work out from how she sees it.
But, in other news, she says that Hideki would have the same personality as her mom, so that'd probably help. And Kamui would be able to handle her blade-fan like a pro.

OK, we'll work out something else, but we'll still be in a holding pattern until she gets back.

Maybe the trip can be delayed for a day so that Justin can get the help he needs, I think.

Suddenly, I have this idea that when the kids finely do go on their trip, they get sidetracked (maybe something makes Arista misread the map in her mind) and end up in Hazzard County, Georgia, where they run into trouble and they have to get help from a certain orange Dodge Charger... XD

They would have to go south then. The old '66 route does lead through Texas (and ends there), but even the most dense know that Chicago is NORTH...

I wanted something exciting to happen instead of just having them go through Route 66 the whole way, visiting town after town, until they get to Chicago. So I thought, what about a small deviation that would send them in a different direction where they don't know where they are.
I was thinking that Arista could have something happen to her so that she would have trouble reading her mind-map correctly. I assume that her parents protected her from EVERY unknown danger that she would susceptible to, like foreign illnesses and injuries. Her half-alien side would barely be able to cope with just the common cold. That would mean that wherever the kids are at the time, they would have to stop so that Arista could recover.
And it would be in Hazzard that they would stop.
This is an idea that I had and I wanted to see if it will work.

First, they'd have to be in altogether unfamiliar territory to begin with, and the illness would have to set in while en route. And it would have to be some awfully ancient back roads, otherwise the signs would give them a clue, not to mention the terrain. Suppose Arista was not in charge of her faculties, and wandered off while under the effects of the illness?
