This is going to sound morbid, but I need help coming up with various ways a car can die. I'm leaning more towards natural deaths- not by accidents or getting shot or anything like that- but the only thing I can think of is having them slip away quietly in their sleep. Can anyone else (especially someone more vehicle-savy than myself) think of something?

It is, but I used that one on Lizzie... Though I suppose I could change how the engine fails...

Chronic engine corrosion is a version I came up with. Cancer, sort of. An overheat... the basic equivalent of a heart attack.

Ooo! I think I'll use the engine corrosion at the end! Doc got the engine overheating. Poor guy.

That just reminds me that I really need to finish the fic with Suzie in it. XD Engine corrosion's how I had her die.
And Doc overheating in yours just goes to show great minds think alike. Or maybe morbid ones. I don't know.

Are you taking up your own writing challenge to do "Red Turns Killer?"  Of course the deaths mentioned here are natural causes, or maybe Red would just want it to look that way. |

You could always have...
Oil pump fail
water pump fail
Alternator
Oil clot?
transmission (tiz slow death...)
carburetor failure (older cars)
uh..
Engine seize
that sudden stop at the bottom of a fall
Cracked headers
blown pisiton rings
Cracked Engine Block
A crushed air intake..
pinched coolent line..
master clinder fail..
(Bla bla bla... )
Sugar and sand poured striate into the engine will kill it.. (that poor poor tempo)

Are you taking up your own writing challenge to do "Red Turns Killer?" Not really. This is a project I've been working on for a bit- it's my idea of what would have happened to Radiator Springs if Lightning hadn't showed up. So far I've got Lizzie, Sarge, Fillmore, and Doc, next up is Sheriff. As for Taiomega's list... o.o Wow. If I knew what half of those did/looked like from the outside, I'd be set. I'm afraid I'm not up to par on vehiclular systems. |

You could always have...
Oil pump fail.. Tiz pump that moves your oil from the tank to the filtter
water pump fail... Moves water/coolent to and from tank ta radiator
Alternator (round thing with winded up wires yeah can see thru little holes) the master power house for your car.. it drains batterys if it's not working and re-powers a battery if it is working
Oil clot?.. Sluded build that flings up into the engine
transmission (tiz slow death...) (look under your car tiz that thing running from the back of the motor to your drive shaft..) Gears eat up each other and or stop all gatter
carburetor failure (older cars).. Fills with sut er something makes it where a car can't breath...
uh..
Engine seize.. No oil.. pistons weld themselfs to engine
