I know a couple people on HH are horse people, so they might find this blog amusing, if not downright scary in places: fuglyhorseoftheday.blogspot.com/Every sway-backed, goose-rumped, peg-legged, ewe-necked backyard-bred horse you could think of, irresponsible breeders, phoney-baloney registries, egregious owners and unsafe conditions for horses and riders. She takes aim at them all.

I'm not surprised, Pooky... at least, if anyone else is thinking of bringing a horse into their lives, with all that entails, they should take a look at this site and start educating themselves on what NOT to do.

i remember back then..i was about to get this stud..he was a pretty dun paint horse..i wanted to keep him a stud for his colors..glad i never did..glad i never got him either..he was kinda skinny..and now that i think about it..he was freakin 2 years old and already fully traine to ride! and i rode him..i kinda feel bad now XD.. but maggie..luckly we didn't officially start riding her till about 3..we did sit on her alittle when she was like..a year..but that was like..a few times a month..and we used my little sister who weighed about 60 pounds at the time..*shrugs* she's a gooood horse though..sadly we have to get rid of them soon..we don't have the time to ride them anymore..my sis kinda grew outta that temporary horse craze.. oh yeah have you seen this?? it's sickening.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdkamNguH7M&NR=1you should read the description..they say they have NO desire to learn anything about horses...and they say all horses are just dangerous...i'm sick of people who own animals and dont' want to learn anything about their lifestyles..i bet they just own the horses to look "cool.." like some people i know do...i feel sorry for this poor animal...poorly trained, has some bad vices going on(certainly not his fault) it's funny..they TRY to ride him..they KNOW he's not rideable at the moment..yet they DON'T want to learn anything about it..stupid...it's bad enought their southern..makes me feel bad XD

These people need to be pimp-smacked. That colt needed experienced handling, not a couple of hold-muh-beer-and-watch-this yupyups yelling and whomping on him.
Oh, and does FHotD know about this video yet? You should put this in our YouTube finds as well.

oh it's on her discussion forum ...i think she's seen it..she may put it up later on... pauline is sort of similar..she rears up on me and bucks me off when i gave leg pressure..and she's just not the horse for me..so i'm not gonna ride her and ruin her anymore..or break my butt XD..she also needs an experienced hand to teach her the basics all over again..cause i'm a couch-potato.. maggie on the other hand was pretty much born broke..we put a saddle and a bridle on her and rode on..of course she had some extensive training to help out some glitches..but..she actually LOVES to ride..she gets really jealous if pauline gets ridden instead XD..i'm gonna miss letting go of her..i'll never see another horse(well..pony really XD) like her..

lol that's not what they mean by "ugly" or "fugly" what they mean is by their conformation and a result of poor breeding..a fugly horse is something that has usually awful comformation(ewe neck, ugly head, crooked legs, just..frankenhorse all over..a horse that isn't a good example of it's breed/species )..usually they break down later in life or can't be used for anything or very limited..because of their build..just because it is fugly..doesn't really mean the horse is "ugly" so to speak...plain and simply..they shouldn't be used for breeding..and creating more fuglies for the slaughter houses a horse can be cute..but can also be downright fugly..and doesn't always represent the best.. bp3.blogger.com/_uT-i4wrm9Ec/RvyGwrcveAI/AAAAAAAAArY/IraK2qia2vc/s1600-h/saddlebredfilly.jpgi have to say thought..THAT is an ugly horse;..this one is a Saddlebred....so much wrong with that one..i doubt it's back is going to last long..AT ALL lol..poor things..though my horse Honey was much worse.. heres another saddlebred..but not a fugly like the one above.. www53.tok2.com/home2/bronco/American%20Saddlebred%20Horse.htmlsee a diff? XD

What makes me cringe are the halter-class Quarter horses with the huge, muscled-up bodies and itty-bitty feet. Those horses will be permanently lame by the time they're seven or eight.

yeah seriously..and the overly upright pasterns and post legs...i think they need to seriously change the halter horse industry..i mean..those big things cannot "perform" like any normal quarter horse can do.. bp0.blogger.com/_uT-i4wrm9Ec/RtT4PE-uPUI/AAAAAAAAAgI/NAZigTdCuV0/s1600-h/worstlegsever.jpgcan't believe this filly up top is placing in the championships..i've never seen such straight legs either..and you can see how puffy her pasterns are..i heard somebody on there said they know her in real life..and that she already limps outta the ring.. i can see why they are the top choice for the slaughter house...heck if i ate horse..i'd nab me a quarter horse..like this guy this popular stud is one of the biggest around "Sir Cool Skip"..really disgusting..you should watch the video..i think theres one on there.. no offense but he bounces around like a 500 pound woman..you can't tell me this hunk of flesh can perform anything..sorry theres shaddy music on it so mute your sound XD even more disgusting is that he's HYPP N/H...oh yeah...go pass on more disease! www.bertonqh.com/index_bqh.htmdisgusting..you seen my gallery of drawings and know i like buff..but this is not buff..this is..just..gawww..the judges must be sick in the head if they think crap like this can go out on the range and go around barrels or do ranch work.. some of their other studs and mares are N/H and most of their selling foals are N/H too..idiots.. i hate it when bums spoil breeds...

GOOD GOD! That stud is a WHALE! I don't know how he could possibly move around on those tiny feet. No thanks.
I heard the AQHA is no longer going to accept H/H horses for registry. Good. I've never seen a HYPP attack in the flesh, but there are some frightening videos on YouTube.

yeah..but heres another sad thing..i heard a new registry AHHA..came around to promote H/H and the carriers..so i heard...i think you already know this.. now that's just sick... i talked to one chick about it on DA and she said well..probably so they dont feel left out.. well hell..any horse who's got a disease SHOULD be left out..i dont' care if their owners cry and loose money..damn get an N/N horse..plenty pretty ones out there that need homes and would make potential breeding stock.....
but i hope i'm wrong..lol

For anyone who has no clue what HYPP is about, here's a look: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE-kuYDrNEUI feel sorry for the mare and the poor little foal pawing at his mama and trying to nurse.
