"And he has that other medallion." Dawn said. "Raven might know about it, if it actually belonged to anyone."
"All right." Elsie seemed satisfied with that.

"Well, if he sees it, he'll probably recognize it or something," said Delfina as she glanced towards the mens' tent, "I'd still have questions for him."
*****
"I'll be going now," said Ebony as she shifted into gear, "It was nice meeting you, Ma'am."

"You too, Ebony." Jackie smiled as she returned from the paddock. "C'mon up and visit anytime."
Bill and Fillmore also started up and prepared to move out.
"I wonder if it belonged to another of his people?" Dawn mused.

"And maybe I'll bring my family up next time," called Ebony as she waited for Fillmore and Bill before she drove away.
*****
"So it probably has sentimental value for him, then?" asked Delfina, "Might provoke a memory for him if he sees it."

Dawn took a deep breath. "Could be."
"Seeya later." Bill and Fillmore moved out with Ebony, back with her to the camp, since they were headed back to Bill's studio anyway.

Delfina nodded and looked up toward the sky. "He told me he came from a faraway star. That's where he said he was born."
*****
Ebony drove down the road, heading back to the cove, her mind on other things.

"Quite a few "faraway stars" around." Dawn remarked. "What I'd like to know now is "which one?"
She looked up as she heard engine noises. "Ebony's back, and Bill and Fillmore with her."

"It's about time she got back," said Delfina, standing up, "It's starting to get on to evening."
Ebony slowed down as she approached the camp. She pulled to a stop just before her tires would touch the sand, not wanting it to get into her tires.

Dawn waved to the trio as they pulled up. Bill and Fillmore were not so fussy about sand and came right onto the beach.
"G'afternoon, ladies n' gents." Bill grinned. "Or evenin', rather."
"Hey." Fillmore waved back.
"So what did you all find out?" Dawn asked of the three.

"That Bill and his cousin had been there when the UFO went down," said Ebony, "and that Bill has that medallion piece where the edges glow in the dark."
"Can we see?" asked Delfina.
It was getting on to evening and getting dark, so Delfina thought it would be a good opportunity to see the glowing medallion in action. Wonder if Raven will sense it nearby, she thought, taking a side-glance at the mens' tent where the shapechanged alien was resting.

Bill withdrew the medallion from its place of safekeeping and placed it on a flat rock before Delfina and Dawn. Sure enough, it began to glow and spark at the edges.

"Geez," Delfina stared at the glowing, sparking medallion, kneeling down to get a better look at it, "Is it reacting to something?"
*****
In the mens' tent, Raven awoke from a deep sleep as he thought he sensed something familiar. It was close by, making him curious. He got up and peeked his head out of the tent flaps and froze when his scarlet eyes locked on the medallion on the rock.

Bill looked on with raised 'shades. "Usually it's kinda faint, but it's kickin' up a storm now." There were other colors now, shades of pale purple and green and gold.
"Wow, that's a trip for the eyes, man." Fillmore was awed.

"It's doing that because it's energy is reacting to mine," said Raven as he walked up to the group, his scarlet eyes bright.

Fillmore, without a word, backed up as he surveyed the youth with the bright scarlet eyes. It was true enough that the 60's hadn't been entirely good to him, but he had enough basic common sense to do the math.
Randy, Marty and Erica, who had been tossing a netball around to pass the time, came up closer to the beach as the light show reached their eyes. Jastrow had returned to the CG station hours before.
