Kaliska approached at a walk, conserving her energy. Disputes between Acros could go one of two ways. Either one would warn the other off, or blood would spill. She knew all about the latter course of action, as her many scars bore testament to.
It seemed like the would-be fight was evenly matched. The male Acro was taller and probably 500 pounds heavier than she, but that meant she had some advantage of being smaller.
A steady, continous growl came from deep in her throat as she stalked toward the resident Acro and his two carcasses, circling in at a safe distance. She made sure to keep her fangs bared, and punctuated her growling with an angry snarl once she was close enough.
*
Azra rolled his eyes, careful to keep any audible protest to himself. He didn't have anywhere to be. He'd stay here and keep an unseen eye on the twins' antics. Besides, he didn't like the idea of them picking on Laousa. She had enough on her claws as it was, watching all those chicks by herself.
*
Long run... Noah wasn't so sure he wanted to be a part of the long run. If he let this go without telling the others, if they caught any whiff of it, he'd be the pack's boxing scapegoat until the next season change.
"I've got to go back at some point," he pointed out, "Surely, they'll be able to smell his scent on me."

"Leave that to me, Noah!" said Maui.
She went back in to her bag and pulled out a different turtleshell container only this was tightly sealed. She opened it up and dumped the powdery contents all over herself and Noah.
"Smell neutralizer. It should keep the acro smell off of us for a while and replace it with one that smells like we've just been in tall grass and other forest plants. It'll give you the chance to talk to them and then go take a bath somewhere to wash out the neutralizer and acro smells officially without anyone getting suspicious. The only catch is that in the time before you take a bath, it's going to be tricky detecting smells for a while," said Maui.
She put the empty container back in her palm-leaf satchel.

Getting the feeling that their spy wasn't backing down, Zuma spoke up.
"Wanna head to our trap spot? I mean we can't prank that Laousa-girl. It's way too lame. Let's stick with the big stuff," said Zuma.
Yuma nodded.
"Okay... lets," said Yuma with a grin.
With that, the two got up to get ready to leave....

Jabali followed her with his eyes and head, he gave her a bloody snear and put a foot on one of the cows, to show he wouldn't give up so easily.
---
As soon as her chicks had fallen asleep, Laousa curled around them and started to drift off to sleep.

Sarena was by the nest, acting alert and listening. She was not about to let an acro come by without any warning. A Gamma went over to her, who was most likely trying to get a higher status in the group before courtship season. Sarena was for a moment taken off guard, not expecting an attack from another raptor. She was though quick to bring the gamma down and laid her leg on his, and her jaws by his necks, so that with one movement, she could kill him instantly.
"I would win if I had gotten meat." the gamma said with a hiss. Sarena, afraid of being dropped to a gamma rank, which could mean certain death for her for her disabilities, hissed in return and bit down, allowing few of her teeth to penetrate the skin, but not kill the gamma. She released and went off the gamma. She had won, and for that most likely would not be challenged for a rank for a while.

Noah tensed up, obviously perturbed by this idea, but carefully curious at the same time. He gave the powdery substance a sniff, and was rewarded with a near successful impulse to sneeze.
"I hope it works, then," he said, upon comprehending Maui's explanation for what the mixture did. "'Cause if it doesn't, I'll be in deep trouble." He glanced westward, pointing out, "I need to make a run back to the nesting grounds about now, let the Alphas know how my patrol went."
*
Kaliska snorted in contempt, slowly lashing her tail from side to side, clenching and unclenching her clawed hands. She paced just outside the kill site's perimeter, circling menacingly. This was a prelude to a fight - a lot of bluffing, showing off between combatants.
*
Most of the lower ranks had assumed sentry duty, while the lesser adult females kept the chicks confined to the boundry established by the trees ringing the grounds. Seleysha joined them, taking a position to the farthest edge of the grove. She was a fairly flexible Beta when it came to tasks of this sort.
Standing tall on a nearby boulder, she had heard and seen the scrap between Sarena and the Gamma. It wasn't her place to intervene, but she did snarl a warning at the male as he retreated. Now wasn't the time to be fighting amongst themselves.
Neonis, after conversing with the Alphas, also assumed a lookout post.
*
Feeling his leg muscles cramp, having crouched for so long, Azra shifted his weight from one foot to the other. If the twins, by some chance, happened to walk his way, there was no way to retreat without being spotted.
Walk the other way, walk the other way, he repeated in his head. This 'trap-spot', wherever it was, he was interested in finding out what the twin's planned to utilize it for. Or "who".

Sarena went to Saleysha's right side, muttering a 'thank you' low. Saleysha's warning had most likely given her more time. She then perked up. There was an unusual smell approaching, and she knew it was Noah, but, there was something else, like if he had been rolling up in chewed up leaves. Sarena's sense of smell was her strong suite. "Noah's coming." She said, unsure if she would also report his strange behaviour, rolling up in leaves, what was with that?

"Well.... I'll see you around, Noah. I don't think I'll be going too far anyways," said Maui.
Not like I have an actual home to go back to....... Maui thought.
That was one of those things she was still searching for - a place to call home. But unfortunately, she wasn't successful in that endevour. That meant another night of camping out. ___________________

KanKov yawned slightly and started to clean off the blood on his mouth and claws, somehow he'd missed that.
He streatched his neck out a little and shook some loose feathery hairs from his head and realized suddenly how crampt he felt, he didn't get that very often, he groaned but moved back to the warm rock he'd been on earlier, looking out over the plains.
---
Jabali stood there calmly, he straightened up and gave her a cocky snear as he turned slightly still gaurding his meal. He enjoyed a fight once in awhile anyway, being highly aggressive and hard hearted, he didn't mind killing to get what he wanted.
This other Acro was no exception, unless by some unforseen law of the land they were forced to a draw, they'd most likely fight to the death, or, if the other wasn't as aggressive as himself...they'd fight until he couldn't move...unlikely though.
((this should be interesting))

Seleysha looked over at hearing Sarena speak up. Knowing sight wasn't the Omega's premeire sense, she lifted her nose to the breeze, inhaling deeply. It did smell like that little useless Gamma was on the way back, and he definately smelled like he had been rolling in something herbal.
"What is that stench?" the Beta female growled. She had little tolerance for Noah, being he was the lowest of the lower ranks. He was always making mistakes.
*
Azra slinked after Zuma and Yuma, unaware of their unspoken ploy. His only concern was keeping an eye on them, making sure they behaved.
*
Kaliska had a sixth sense, by which she discephered that this male was younger. He had confidence, she gave him that much. Only she was counting on him being overconfident.
She paced around to the opposite side of one of the kills, the smaller one, placing it between her and him. Then she took the initiative of the impending battle, placing a clawed foot on the carcass, leaning low over it and snarling with teeth bared. That could be translated as bring it on.

Knowing well enough that Saleysha could, and probably would, do something negative regarding Noah, she silently jogged towards Noah, as to get an explanation of what was going on, and maybe give him a warning regards of Saleysha's mood, in case she didn't follow what she preached.

Maui had taken a short break when her own stomach reminded her of dinner.
"....hungry..... almost forgot.... about that...." she muttered.
It was then she opted to check out what the Zeburi territory had to offer in the way of food. SHe slinked around some bushes. She accidentally disturbed a few. Although, being a fast runner, she wasn't entirely worried.

The Twins whispered a new plan to eachother. This new plan had the Twins excited. It involved them splitting up and going two different directions. Seeing the Twins spliting up volutarily was a bad sign. A VERY bad sign.....

Kankov's face turned desgusted when he caught a strange scent...mixed with Noah's. He sighed and tried to block it out, he didn't hate Noah, just had no reason to converse or aquaint himself to him, in fact, the two had never talked once.
-----
Jabali growled harshly, as if saying alright, i will he took his foot off of his prey and snarled at her as he pushed hard off of his feet and jumped the short distance at her.

Noah slowed from a run, to a trot, to a very cautious walk, as the Zeburi nesting grounds came into sight. He saw shapes on the perimeters - sentries on guard duty. For some reason, the Alphas had posted them there.
The Gamma male crouched down enough to convey the message he meant no harm, but still standing tall enough that he could be spotted. He noticed one of the 'raptors had begun to move his way, swiftly followed by a second. He crouched even lower as the two females got closer. If Maui's scent-cover didn't work, he was toast.
Seleysha fell in behind and beside Sarena. As Beta, she had some questions as to where Noah had been while like the pack had been out hunting. But it was for a lower rank to greet the newcomer and decide whether they were a potential threat or not.
*
Satisfied with getting the male Acro to make the first move, Kaliska swiftly backed up a couple paces. The carcass still provided something of a barrier between them, and he couldn't stand on it without falling over; he could only jump to or over it.
She stayed close enough so that the two combatants where nearly nose-to-nose as Jabali landed before her. With a purfunctional growl, she lashed out, taking a half step forward and snapping her teeth together not a few inches from the male's snout.
She would only target the vital parts, the back of the neck or chest, if she got an opening without exposing her own weak points.

Maui treaded through the Zeburi vegitation when she got herself tangled. In trying to untangle herself, she got herself further tangled until her forpaws were tangled up with her legs. She hopped around trying to break free when she toppled out of the bushes and in to clear view of everyone. Maui gave an awkard look as she lay on her back all tangled.
"Uh..... Hi.....?" she said awkardly.
I'm dead.... aren't I?

Now there only seemed to be one Twin in view and that was Yuma. Zuma had taken a short cut and shifted down wind. He shifted in behind Azra quietly. He let sneaking around go for a while until he made an increadibly sudden, loud, and highly obnoxious noise from behind Azra.

Sarena couldn't believe she had not smelled the intruder coming, but hearing her well, tumble. She took in the smell of her, and noticed the same pattern. Rolling up in chewed up leaves. Sarena hissed at Maui in a warning, but chose not to act further with Saleysha near.
