Noah half-closed his eyes as the logic sank in. The arguement had some merit, and it made sense to him. As long as there was no threat, he could live with letting this intruder slip by. As long as the Alphas and Betas didn't know of her presence, there was no danger.
He straightened up, letting the growl drop from his expression. "In that case, I'm Noah," he said placidly, "And you are?"

After some time, to be sure that the others were in position, Sarena crept towards the herd. She and the omega spread out to be able to herd them in the right direction. After some time of stalking, she was but fifty meters away from the herd. She launged forward with the omega.
The herd screeched in alert, surprised at how close the raptors were. They quickly went into formation, protecting their youngs by keeping them surrounded by the adults. She and the omega herded the herd towards the ambush point.

"My name's Maui and I'm a travaling inventor. I create stuff to make life easier for others," said Maui.

"I don't know about all that," Noah said with a pleasent smile, "But nice to meet you." He noted the marks Maui had made in the sand. "If I may ask, what are you... creating right now?"

Neo and Sel made their move, sprinting nimbly toward where the herd's formation wasn't as tight. Side by side, they expertly drove a wedge into the herd, seperating at least two adult females, cows, from the rest.
The Alphas and their subordinates moved swiftly, fanning out in a circular pattern, further isolating and surrounding their quarry. The biggest males screeched threateningly, slashing at the air with their large killing-claws, while the females moved about in preperation to take on one of the cows.

"Well.... it's actually a diagram of a device I invented for lifting very heavy objects that otherwise we can't lift. I'm thinking of calling them wedges and leavers. Those names are really starting to grow on me right now. I was expermenting with them earlier but then I was chased by a boulder," said Maui.

With the cows isolated, the herd moving on away unaware, Sarena went to focus on the cows with the rest of the herd. She waited for the first one to strike, like everyone else.

"You got chased by a rock?" Noah couldn't help but laugh lightly at picturing that concept. "Well, you must have done something to offend it. Maybe it didn't like your... lee-vers and wedges idea."

While the rest of the pack worked to form the perimeter, the Alphas went to work. This was a system they had developed a few years ago, and was foolproof. If they had two cows isolated, they would do their utmost to take them both.
The Alpha female moved in, hissing menacingly at her target, waiting until it exposed a flank before springing forward. Her claws latched into the back of the neck, while her killing-claws hooked into the lower throat, tensing, then slashing gaping wounds through the soft skin.
Three others joined in, each one seizing a portion of the iguanadon's body for themselves. Under the collective weight, the first prey animal fell quickly.
The Alpha male, always a bit slower than his mate, repeated a similiar move with the older iguanadon cow.

Sarena jumped on the second cow, staying away from the sharp thumbs. She attacked the spine, slizing it hoping that she would immobilize it.

The cow's back legs instantly gave out. The iguanadon bellowed in pain, lashing out with a forepaw. By luck, the 'raptor it aimed at just managed to jump out of the way.
Seleysha joined her father in cutting up the prey's opposite side. Her foreclaws hooked into the spine, she slashed open the giant herbivore's cut, lacerating the viserca inside.
The cow cried out a second time before giving into the shock, collapsing in the grass.

"It was an unexpected deviation that almost crushed me. Nothing too serious," said Maui with a grin, "of course, horned vegitarians are way more easily offended. Tell them they look funny and they'll be right after you like crazy!"

Sarena was too low ranked to have first dibs, so she hung back with the omegas waiting for the alphas and betas to have their fill. She lied down to rest for a short time, catching her breath.

Noah scoffed in amusement. This was definately someone who spoke as if the out of the ordinary was everyday.
He sat down, at ease with the conversation, idly scratching behind his jaw at one of his fresher scars. "Didn't your parents ever teach you not to tease that sort? You're lucky you weren't trampled."

Prey wasn't super abundent, but what was available was good eating. The higher members of the Zeburi made quick work of the best bits, tearing away red muscle tissue, mouthfuls of liver and skin. This being their first meal in a couple days, a lot of that dissappeared quickly.
Bringing down two cows worked in the lower ranks' favor. Noticing how most of the pack congregated around one of the kills, the Alpha male moved aside, something he normally never did, allowing the Omegas a chance to sample some of the better quality parts. Seleysha did likewise.

Sarena, along with some of the omegas, were hesitant, not fully understanding the offer, as if afraid of if there was any 'favor' they would have to do later if accepting it. Sarena was though quicker on the uptake, and dove in besides Seleysha, taking some of the small intestense. There had been a kidney there, inviting, but Sarena was still hesitant to take advantage of this rare oppertunity.

Seleysha glanced up at her father, communicating silently with her eyes that his presence was only making the Omegas more uneasy. He hooded his eyes to show his displeasure, but placed a foot on the fallen cow's neck, stepping across to feed on the carcass's other side.
By now, a fair amount of blood adorned the kill site and the killers themselves. Sel blinked away what crimson was running into her eyes. "Don't mind him," she said to the Omegas, regarding the Alpha. "He's just a little unsure when it comes to being generous."

"They did.... but they only did it after I nearly got trampled. And just for the record, everyone says I made fun of them but really, I was only asking why they had horns sticking out of everywhere. But then again, I was only six when I did that," said Maui.
