"Ah really don' feel like disturbin' 'er if'n she's sleepin' now," Huntress felt a little red-faced, but thankfully, wasn't seen due to her red paint, "but Ah don' think we have no other choice. No sense in puttin' somethin' important like this off."

"Well, we'll be getting another break soon, so we might's well bite th' bullet now." Lyle sighed.

The foxdog's approach remained slow and cautious. He paused just shy of the offered treat, before, just as slowly, reaching up and taking it from Lynda's grasp. Boo instantly backed away, quickly devouring the tasty bit of Gask-It bar.
He normally never sampled dometic food. In this case, he found the experience delightful.
Boo gave a friendly yip, complete with an appreciative nuzzle against Mrs. Weather's bumper.
Shawn, meanwhile, watched the encounter out of the corner of his windshield, peering over Natalie's hood, secrelty apprehensive of what he was seeing. He was making sure Boo didn't cause any problems.

(((((OOC: I'm back everybody! Don't need to worry about time limits anymore! Yay! Aww... Boo is just adorable...)))))
It was at this time that Amber and General Lee came into the diner. They saw the foxdog with Lynda and both grinned at each other.
"Hey, Mom," suggested Amber as she and the Charger pulled into the space next to Lynda, "play fetch with him. He likes that."
~~~~~
Huntress nodded, "Better late than never. That's what muh Mama always said. An' Ebony has ta know 'bout what we did anyway. How much longer 'til we get that break?"
"Fifteen minutes, maybe." Lyle sighed again.
Lynda found a stick lying just off the diner's apron and picked it up. She waved it to the foxdog.
"Alright. Then when fifteen minutes is up, we go over ta Ebony's tent ta see if'n she'd be willin' ta hear us out," said Huntress.
Boo followed Lynda, curious as to what she was up to, then barked excitedly at seeing the stick. He hunkered down on his wheels, trembling with anticipation.
Lynda flung the stick out, as far as she could into the back lots.
The foxdog tore after the stick, as quickly as his wheels would let him, barking all the while. He pounced upon it without hesitation, delivering a few bites for good measure before grabbing it up in his teeth.
Boo pranced back to the diner, panting with exertion but looking pleased with his work nonetheless.
Natalie laughed at the sight. Shawn's expression remained unchanged as he watched Boo shaunter up to Lynda and drop the stick before her.
Lynda patted Boo and tossed the stick again. Strip looked on with Amber and Lee.
It was then that Sara came over to the diner and chatted with Flo for a bit. It looked like they had something slighty weighty to discuss.
"Well, no sense puttin' it off." Lyle girded himself for the inevitable.
Amber and Lee were grinning as they watched Boo fetch the stick.
~~~~~
"Yep. Now or never," Huntress agreed, looking toward the forest behind the Cozy Cone where Ebony's tent was located, "Les' hope she's in a good mood today."

Boo went sprinting after the stick a second time. Though his face was impassive, Shawn's worries were beginning to burn out. It looked like Boo was too preoccupied to cause any trouble at the moment.
He happened to glance toward the counter, where Sara spoke with Flo. The interest didn't last long; the Miata waitress arrived with his drink, which he readily paid for.
Boo came trotting back a few seconds later. He paused, looking at his owner with the stick still firmly held in his mouth.
Shawn glanced up at him, slightly irritated. "What?"
The foxdog whined imploringly, but seeing that it evicted no change in emotion, he wandered back over to Lynda.

Meanwhile, a certain cobalt blue racecar was out at the Butte doing laps by herself. Even though she was on vacation for the time being, Sapphire still wanted to keep in shape if by any chance she wished to return to the circuit. She was doing pretty well with the laps that she has been accumilating and thought maybe she could still head off the other racers at the next track.
There's always a chance that I can have an advantage, thought Sapphire.
~~~~~
After sleeping for about an hour or two, Ebony was beginning to wake up with the question 'How did the reps know about me?' still in her mind. Hopefully, someone was bound to answer her question soon.
Kitt had pulled up quietly to the Butte wondering what Sapphire was up to at the Butte as he watched her do laps.
Sapphire was determined to keep up with her exercise. Maybe at some point, she can show her fans that she's still alive at the next race. Surprise them on the first lap.
It was a good plan. One in which she did not want to fail at. Her own reputation was at stake here. It was then that she saw Kitt watching her do laps.
Oh, goody, she thought sarcastically, I have an audience.
