(((((OOC: Sapphire is, as always, with Kitt, so I'm pretty stuck there without Insane. Amber, I don't know what to do with now because she seems to be pretty useless. She's with General Lee somewhere. And I was thinking of getting the truth out how the Dodge reps found out about Ebony and her twins because Huntress and Lyle talked about it at the Dodge store. And if Ebony finds out about this, she won't be very happy with either Huntress or Lyle...)))))

<<< OK, so Huntress is probably near Lyle, and it shouldn't be long before that story comes out. Of course, they had no idea at the time what they were doing, poor things>>>
Darcy watched Ebony go to sleep. She wondered if it was going to be this hard when her turn came, at some point in the future.
I should give Ted a call again, Strip thought as he observed Shawn out of the corner of his eye.

Shawn glanced sideways down the asile. By now, he was accustomed to seeing various members of the Weathers family. He had managed to get a grip on being so nervous in their prescence, but that was as far as it went.
The aero hybrid sat low on his suspension, grateful for the fact that Natalie was parked between him and the others, a sort of barrier. The GT girl wasn't having any of it, though. "Why don't you ever say 'hi' to anyone here?" she whispered. This was the first time she had managed to get him to stick around Flo's at the same time as her.
"Their business is none of my business, Nat," he shot back, "And I like to keep it that way."

By now, Huntress was starting to realize something. It had taken the very appearance of those Dodge representatives a week ago to get her mind working. Just how did they find out about Ebony anyway? Unless it was when she and Lyle were talking to that clerk at the Dodge store while they were out selecting gifts for Ebony's baby shower. Was that how the story started spreading? How's Ebony going to react when she finds out that we were responsible for making that happen?
This made Huntress a little bit apprehensive, since she knew of the Viper's moods whenever Ebony was angry.

Lyle glanced over to his girlfriend, and noted her pensive mood. "Somethin' botherin' ya?"

Huntress nodded, "Uh huh. Remember when we were at that Dodge store a week ago to buy Ebony some gifts for 'er baby shower? Ah feel as if somethin' ain't right."

Boo didn't sit still long. As a foxdog, he wasn't inclined to unless he was sleeping. He rested long enough to regain his composure after spending time in the baking sun.
He sprang back to his wheels after only a few minutes. He immediately pined at Shawn for attention, but at getting a cold reception, began to look elsewhere. His wandering took him down the asile, much to the hidden dismay of a certain aero hybrid.
Boo stopped short at seeing Mrs. Weathers. In his time, he couldn't recall noticing her before. That was enough to warrant a momentary interest.

"Y'mean, how the Dodge people showed up so quick after that?" Lyle frowned.
Lynda smiled at the Foxdog. "Hey there, sweetie." She reached into a side compartment and pulled out a tidbit of something, perhaps a Gask-Itt segment. "Y'want this?"

"Yeah, an' Ebony reacted to 'em so viciously," added Huntress, "Ah thinks she's jes' wonderin' how they knew 'bout 'er an' th' fact that she's havin' twins."

Boo's sideviews perked up; he was intrigued. Naturally, he didn't understand any of the verbal words. But his nose told him enough for him to associate the kind tone of voice with food. He inched forward, sniffing eagerly.

A chill ran through Lyle. "Y'think it coulda been somethin' WE said when we were out to th' store?"
Lynda gingerly held the tidbit out on her wiper grip for the foxdog. "It's OK, sweetie. Come n' get it."

"Wall, we did mention Ebony's name an' that she was with twins," said Huntress, "An' it was not only th' store clerk who heard, but thar was some other people around too. They might've passed th' word along an' we didn't even know 'bout it. That's prolly how Dodge got wind o' it."

"I KNOW she's not gonna be happy with us," Lyle looked even greener than usual, "But telling her would be th' right thing."
