Might as well since I work with movies...
Any questions about a movie, when it comes out on DVD, or anything in General, feel free to ask...

I have one and I've been wondering about this for a long while.
What's the time length when a movie comes out on DVD after the time it first shows in theaters?

It all depends on what season and box office revenue and when it was released...
But the frame usually is 3 to 6 months before they come out...
You always see most of the Summer releases in Oct, Nov, and Dec with a few in Jan and Feb.
Movies that come out in theaters in the Winter are usually out in May and June.
But you always see a lot of the animated movies come out in what are called the holiday months.

And Cars came out in like November because it was so popular, right?

That and the they know when they can make the most money off it because of X-Mas, same with Ratatouille coming out in November. A lot of the industry is about making money.

Thats a very rare happening now a days unless its what they call a 'sleeper hit', and they underestimated its popularity a bit as well.
