Okay, the first movie, Balto, is based on a true story, where a team of dogs crossed the harsh Alaskan winter landscape to retrieve medicine and bring it back to the town of Nome to save it from a diptheria epidemic. And a statue of Balto can be found in Central Park in the middle of New York City.
The second movie, Balto 2: Wolf Quest, is about Balto's daughter, Aleu, who can't seem to find her place in the human world because she is part wolf. So she runs away, sending Balto after her.
The third movie, Balto 3: Wings of Change, is about Balto's son (this time), Kodi, who brings the mail to and from Nome and other Alaskan towns, but the jobs of the maildogs are being threatened by the arrival of a bush plane.
Okay, is there anyone else here who's a fan of Balto, besides me?

I had the first movie on VHS, rented the second, and didnt know about the third one until you mencioned it. Unfortunately, our old VHS player gave up, and we now use DVD player/burner/recorder. And I had during my "grow up now!" period given Balto away, and it did not pass to family, so I dont know where it is.
But I am a fan of it. Too bad it is hard to get for me on DVD. I would buy it right away were it so easy. But my online shopping quota is now reserved for the mega collection of Doctor Who, which I will get 'eventually'.

All three movies are on YouTube. You can watch them there just by typing in Balto. They're really enjoyable, even though the screens are small.

If you like these talking dog movies theres an anime you may like called Ginga Densetsu Weed about a little blue dog, Weed, who has to find his father and claim back the Dog Paradise. I'm watching it now and it owwwwns. If you go on youtube theres a user called RunningStar or something and they have loads of the dubbed episodes.
