I'm mentioning this here because I suspect this cartoon short will be compared to Ratatouille once that movie's out and since it appears to be in public domain, may even be released as the "generic equivalent" that you always see on the shelves whenever Disney or Pixar releases a major film. (Which reminds me, I still need to locate a cheap copy of Little Cars at the Big Race just to see if it's as bad as it looks!) Anatole is an adorable cartoon from 1960 (based on a 1957 French children's book) about a mouse who leaves his family everyday to "work" at a cheese factory, taking one small slice of every variety to feed his family. One day he hides while the foreman discovers the cheeses and declares them ruined. Guilt-stricken, the mouse repays the cheese company by reviewing their cheeses and recommending how they can improve them. I won't spoil the ending but this was one of the cutest cartoons ever! I borrowed "Young Pocahontas" from the library just to see how it compared with the Disney version and while it was Saturday-morning cartoon quality at best, Anatole and a few other cartoons were thrown in at the end while they were IMO better than the feature film. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatole_%28mouse%29www.imdb.com/title/tt0302267/
