i wonder if anyone else here thinks bessie is alive? i personally think she is  the way she enjoys skwirting tar all over mcqueen and boost's gang. we had this post over at IMDB  so what do you you's think? |

I myself don't really think she she, I think she's just a normal "machine". They talk about her like she's alive though, haha.

I think maybe its a joke... cars in are world are inanimate but we give them names. so they name there inanimate machines or something like that...
Bessie would be scary if she was alive, she spews hot asphalt at you!

ouchie XD i'm suprised that the hot asphalt didn't hurt lightning..i guess they have thick.."skin" or something....aww poor bessie

You would figure that would hurt like heck, but it just seems to be vaguely annoying to them. Like getting candle wax on your skin or something, it hurts for a second but it goes away and doesn't do any real damage. I still think in the end Snot Rod looks happy when the tar lands on him. Maybe I'm just crazy. |

I'd say Bessie has SORT of a life of her own, and a nasty sense of humour as well. I've met more than a few such machines.

I think I solved this Snotrod + Tar = Happy Snotty conundrum. Maybe he thought it was funny that the sticky stuff ended up on him and the gang then realised that it was tar and tar is baaaaaaad!
