I just learned in my Cars video game for the DS that DJ is one of Ramone's cousins, kinda weird don't you think? A DRH: cousin of Ramone. Really? I wonder if I can rent that anywhere, I got a DS for Xmas. |

I was just reading this... DJ doesn't HAVE to be Japenese, just because he's a Tuner. That's like saying every single Tuner is Japenese... (Sorry, had an opinion....)   |

Well, Toyota is a Japanese company, and Scion is part of Toyota, and DJ bears alot of resemblance to a Scion xB, so, do the math.
And, true DJ doesn't have to be Japanese, but he is made from a Japanese company, so I put two and two together, and I just can't see how it works.
I don't have a DS, and I aint forking out money for a game that I have on PS2, and I'm not buying a game platform for one game.

Sally and Fillmore aren't German despite being German cars. Mia and Tia aren't Japanese despite being Japanese cars. Ramone has a Mexican accent despite being an American car.
So a character's nationality doesn't necessarily have to equal their brand's nationality.

Ramone's Hispanic in some way, but that doesn't mean he's Mexican.
