We aught to see what the others feels about this. They are more involved into magic aspect of things than I am. I hated myself in the beginning to mend to it since everyone and their dog were capable of something supernatural. Then I learned to be a bit creative about it. I did get some flack for it, but it smoothed out.
So, whoever else that may be reading this. RP with no supernatural or magic, ya or ney?

That's completely OK with me. I'm fine with non-magical stuff.

I think it would be good if we had an area for both, yes, so people who like the more fantastical stuff have a roleplay, and those who don't do, also.
I have to go for now, but I'll try to brainstorm some basic story ideas/settings.

I think it'd be fun. It'd give Destiny something to do.

I really haven't thought of anything much. The fact is I'm hesitant to start because I don't think anyone would join. Could I get any confirmations, or is starting a new RP more or less going to be a no go?

Maybe try to contact the others, or do a 'definitely playing' rollcall once writeup of what is going on is complete. Or if you haven't tried it, the Wingnut City board has several RPs going, though most if not all resemble IM conversations.

Yeah, I've tried WC, no one was willing to do a paragraph role play with me there.
I really don't think it will even be necessary to start a writeup. I'm fairly sure no one would join an RP that I started, but I thought I would give it a shot, because it was kind of my last chance.

What I would suggest is to do hash out the idea further, with a little more detail into it, and then if enough people show interest in this thread, put an intro in the relevant area.

It's rather difficult for someone to come up with a roleplay idea when they don't know what characters will be involved, if any.
I've never roleplayed in a forum setting before, and as I said before, I really have no idea how to go about it. Do I suggest a setting, and go from there, or do I need plot, characters, ect ect?
I was, in my mind, leaning toward a natural disaster/wilderness sort of thing, but anything other than setting I really can't think of without knowing what kind of characters would be present.

Ebony may be willing to participate in survival-drama. Were you thinking post-nuke? Post-disaster? During disaster? What kind of disaster? Examples include flooding, lack of electricity, maybe a dam burst, or organized terrorist attack, volcano bursting, which was actually the drive for the now active RP.

Flood was something that came to my mind, mostly because it seems the most dramatic and dangerous for a vehicle. If being even partially submerged can snuff some models out, I think it would present the most danger.
Unfortunately, I've already offered to write with Ebony, but she declined.

Dang, now that is a a problem if Ebony won't be. IPD does not participate in anything unless Ebony is in it, Eva usually follows Ebony. I guess there is a need to round up others, maybe Tracker for instance. Tai is more for IM RPs, so that is not so good. Pooky is more for feral stuff.
If we get Reiji and Fiero, though I have not seen him at all here, we can maybe have some 'one to three posts per day per player' thing going on. Moves slowly, but would have bit richer story and more and thicker paragraphs due to we would get time to actually think about what to post.

Thank you, but I think my suspicions were correct from the start when I thought that no one would be interested in writing with me. So far, every regular writer on the forums has declined or ignored this thread. I've always felt that most of the major writers here had some kind of unspoken problem with me, and I think that's more or less been affirmed.
It's absolutely no wonder this site is dying the way it is. If you're not already in the "in" group, you simply don't stand a chance.

Such is the fate of a close knitted community. :/ I am interested, even in RP that would be half a page a day or even less, but I usually hold up the standard of having at least four players, for variety and unpredictability.

Yeah, there's no way I would get four players.
The sad fact is, I was one of the first members to join Hillbilly Hell. I've been here, more or less, since the day it was put up, and this is the reception I get when I want to join a roleplay.
I have no reason to be here anymore.
