edit: slight modification, nothing noticiable
In the RP "In Da Streets" TaiOMega's characters and mine had a conversation about a race that E-Jay (my character) participates in every year.
She asked them to join her to go to it and I was wonderin' if Y'all might wanna as well.
It's basically a "finish or die" situation race, in fact, it's possibly the most insanely dangerous race in the entire US.
These races were held by the Ellison Ranch family, and still are hosted by their descendants today, E-jay is the daughter of the hosts. And are actually sponsored by the Police, Fire Department and the casino and alcohol branches of Elco society.
There are only three rules:
1--Stay on the provided track (which will be marked by rocks and flares at night) unless a shortcut path is provided (if you can actually find it that is)
2--No cutting through City streets AT ALL
3--Don't die out there
This race is brutal and hella fun if you like danger, its anything goes and is open to anyone who wants to join. There's everything from minivans (yes, I joke you not) to fancy sports cars.
It's also kindof a carnival as the race lasts three days (yes, these cars will travel by night and pull off only at the designated gas pumps during these nights)
And did I mention that your allowed to cheat?
Everyone actually entering the race itself must sign a release form incase you happen to get so badly......well........in case you end up as a scrap heap in the end.
Though, surprisingly, they haven't yet had a death.
But people love racing for the prizes! The prize in this year's (2007) race is a five night stay at the Wynn Las Vegas Casino resort (only one in the world to have a Mobil 5 Star and a AAA Diamond Rating), a complete and full service payed for in full (includes everything, you get a wash, tires, new paint job and a service for only entering the race --the race itself has a price but thats not the point--).
Anyway, the race costs $60 per car (of course you understand...think of the risks) and cars can only enter if they are 21 and older.
=D but for the kids, there is always the carnival!
who likes this idea?
