Wow, it looks like I'm gonna get left far behind in this one. Maybe I should pull out. And Petra is the only airplane I have and I don't know what else to do with her.

Come on, I guess you are used to fast phase RP. Tomorrow I will make Thompson solo again, you can go chat with him if you want, or you can try to bump into some of the airplanes.

It's kinda hard to come up with a scene that would involve my character, so I just try to wait until I get noticed. But, you know what? I'm going to get ignored again, just like I always have been. That's just how it goes.

Will be introducing Lance Vaughn (Curtiss P-40) as the WRF-I pace jet soon.
The RP may have started, and may be moving slower than the rest (frankly, I like slow RPs), but newcomers are still welcome to join.

I know this RP has kinda died off. But I think I have a way to revive it: a storyline to go along with the overall competition.
I was thinking of a mystery plot. Page 19, Lance Vaughn (official pace jet for the Open Unlimited races) gets called away to the pylon course for some reason. That's open to interpretation, like there has been a supposed breach in security that has resulted in a fatal crash.
Not wanting to worry the event sponsors or those in the pylon races, it's ordered to be kept under wraps. I was thinking Lance would have a hard time keeping it to himself, and inadvertently tell Ari, who would relay it to Jenna, Malcolm, and anyone else he deems needs to know. In the midst of participating in WRF-I, they and a number of others work to solve the case without drawing attention from those in Security.
And I'm open to all other kinds of ideas, too.

I just had this idea where Petra is somehow blamed for a disaster that happens during one of the events at the airshow, which she knows that she's not responsible for and innocent from. She would try to get support from those she knows, like Jenna, Malcolm, or Ari. But there would be others who would see her as a trouble-maker and want to get her to own up to the crime.

I could see Josiah taking sides against Petra, and with his rank in Security being what it is, the feeling would be widespread. Those at Air Vets (Blanche, Yvonne, Elspet, etc.) could either be with or against this kind of thinking.
It could be up to the four fixed-wings to prove Petra's innocence and to find the real perpetrator behind the crime.
Elizar and Razor Azura... I'm not sure if they're still with us, but if they are, we can twist the plot a bit to give them an in if needed.

I can be up for it. It will though require to be a bit fast, since in a month, I have a three week vacation to the US, including going to A-Kon in Texas. Internet access is probably little as non during those three weeks.
But I'm game.

That would work. Security would try to ground Petra, but she wouldn't like that at all. She'd get downright irritable if that happens to her. As the saying goes, "There's nothing more dangerous than a bored fixed-wing." Petra would need the support of her friends to help get her through such an ordeal. So it would be imperative to find proof that she had been framed for the crime.
Maybe there's someone who doesn't like her. She is, however, scared of Josiah because of the way he spoke to her through the radio.

Well, she's there for the barnstorming competition, right? Maybe this is a scheme hatched by one of her would-be rivals to keep her from participating.

Yes, she is there for the barnstorming competition. Maybe when she's participating something goes wrong and it looks like she's the cause for it. What if she has to participate with a rival and this rival might try to cause an accident with her and make it look like it was her fault.

*thinks on it* I've got it. A rival could take advantage of an accident during the competition, in which say, another barnstormer, crashes and it appears that Petra is the cause. An ideal framing opportunity.

Yes, and this rival could say that she caused the crash in order to win the barnstorming competition. And it would be against the rules to endanger or hurt another competitor during an event.

And with that failed prank she and Ari tried to pull on Security earlier to consider, it would seem like she would be someone to provoke a little mayhem,,whereas the rival would be a supposedly clean-sheet individual.

I didn't - Did someone puppet Ari into the prank? I remember reading it, but I don't remember Ari being part of it. Just checked, I guess I was bit clueless of what was going on. Oh well.
