-Seth paid his five dollars, and found a nice parking spot away from any other trucks. He liked to have his space. He stayed close to Ebony and Phoenix, though... wondering why they were so quiet. It didn't make much sense to him, but perhaps they were just that overtired.-

Ebony was trying to form an explanation in her mind, although this would give her a hoodache and she had to get out her bottle of Gasprin that she kept in her side compartments. She opened up her side compartments and reached in, rummaging around for the said bottle, found it and grasped it in her antenna. When she pulled it out, however, out tumbled the old treasure map, which fell with a :fwap: on the pavement near her front left tire.
Uh oh, she thought.

-Seth heard the map drop to the ground, and turned to see what made the sound.- You did steal some of my cargo! -He voiced rather loudly.-

"Now wait a minute!" Ebony protested, "How do you know I stole this? For all I know, it could've been in my family for generations and I've been carrying it around for awhile."

(( Back )) Stops abruptly behind them, transaxil making a loud clunk then a whirl, startled by the Semi's raised voice. For a split second she thought she did something wrong - The German couple's glares not helping - But no...thank god. Wait. Stolen? What? She quietly backed up into a parking slot behind them...her military instincts kicking in from the obvious distress...as she silently observed....if there was going to be a fight, someone should be there to even the odds, break it up and call the cops...

That map was on my freight list. I don't know where it came from, but when I picked up the load from Colorado, it was added to the list, and added to my cargo right before I left... the owner of the trade post said it was important that he get rid of it.

"Well, it did have my address on it, so it must've been sent to me," replied Ebony, "Whoever this was wanted me to have it for some reason."

She squinted over down at the map, pulling out of her slot and over to pick it up with her rear winch, clearing her throat, glancing at the map nonchalant-like as she holds it out, "Sorry to intrude, but you dropped this. Going to North Carolina?" she smiled kindly, with a hint of caution to her.

Ebony reached out with her antenna to take the map back from the truck that had come over and picked it up. "Thanks," she replied, "And that's where the map points to... At least, I think so. My friend, Phoenix, and I had decided to take a trip down there."

That may be true. The guy who gave it to me kind of looked like you. He was a Viper... an older Viper. -Seth replied before unhitching his trailers, and sighing in relief when he pulled away from them.-

"Looks like the map leads to the middle of nowhere North Carolina...I'm headed that way, if..you need a guide." she paused, studying them for a moment, "I'm on my way to visit my Tribe...it wouldn't be a problem," she smiled with a light snerk.

"I think that we'd be pretty much lost without a guide," admitted Ebony, "despite my heightened senses and the ability to follow a scent trail, I'd be pretty much useless in a place where I have no clue where anything is at."
She blinked and turned to Seth, "An older Viper that looked like me? I've never met someone like that. How is that possible?

I ain't sure. -Seth replied:- The guy just came up to me, added that map and a cup of some kind to my freight list, and loaded the stuff into my trailer. Then he disappeared. He was black, though, and had the front spikes like you got. -Seth gestured to Ebony's front spikes with his right front tire.-

"That would only be possible if someone had seen me and were copying my appearance," replied Ebony.
"Yeah, that's right," Phoenix piped up, "I can vouch for that. She's the only Viper with front spikes that I know."
