Ed heard the voice, and grabbed for his radio on the nearby coffee table. "I'm here." he said, "Somethin' wrong?"

"Just need your help a bit," came the reply. "Picked up a speeder and he passed out in my car on the way to the station... and I'm not getting any younger."
That hurt to admit. Humility- 1, Male ego- 0.

"I'll be right there." Ed said.
"Liz, I'm going to help the Sheriff!" he called up the stairs, before rushing out the front door.

Sheriff sighed and put down the radio, moving to stand beside the open back door to wait.

Ed ran down the street, eager to get back to work. "So, what's up, sir?" he asked, seeing the Sheriff.

Sheriff motioned towards the German in the car. "Need to get him to a cell. He's heavier than he looks."

Taking hold of Glimmer's shoulders, Sheriff managed to pull him out of the car with Ed's help. Once he was out he took an arm and put it around his shoulders, holding him up for Ed while he waited for him to do the same with the other arm.

"Caught him speedin'; goin' a good eighty through the town. He almost hit Stanley before he stopped. Good thing his car ran out of gas, otherwise I never would have got him," explained Sheriff as they started carrying the unconscious man to the station proper.

Ed shook his head, "Some people never learn..." he commented.

Sheriff grunted in agreement as he pushed the door open with his free hand. Luckily, the cells weren't that far from the garage- one of the advantages to a small police station in a small town. From there, it was only one locked door to the cells.

Ed helped load the man into the cell, with as much ease as they could muster. He hated to admit it, but this job was much better then his old one.
