First Name: Michael
Last Name: Thompson
Make/Model: Cessna 172M
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Blue
Current Paintjob: White
Origin: Denver, Colorado
Known Family: parents dead, brother in Cali
Profession/Job: Photo-journalist for the last five years, was a Search&Rescue airplane for fifteen years before that.
Likes: Easy to see wide range to fly over, film cameras, air shows.
Dislikes: Rough terrain with a lot of obstacles, hard to see terrain or weather.
Strengths: Great hearing skills.
Weaknesses: Snow blind, uses contacts
Closest To: His bro, contacts him every two weeks or so.
Farthest: The first boss he had when just joining up the S&R team in Denver, he had forced him to crash land during the first mission, refusing him to go back and refuel.
Personality: Generally carefree character, but has a sense of duty after working in the S&R for a long time. He rarely gets angry at another car, airplane or boat, but when his patience runs out, he simply chooses to leave than to argue. He does though participate in arguments, as he feels it is fun at some times. He likes to talk to other airplanes more than cars as he feels that the two are a world apart.
History:
He was a regular airplane whose childhood was pretty uninteresting. He only has one sibling, a brother who is two years young than him, and is a Cessna 175. When Michael was 22 years old, he quickly left his part time job as an assistant at a newspaper and went into Search&Rescue.
His first boss was a firm believer in that only experience could teach, so he forced Michael into his first crash landing during the first real mission, finding a missing Range Rover who had been off-roading for too long. He got a better position in Alaska after two years, but after doing too many missions and training exercises, he flew too low for comfort of his boss, and was found to be snow blind, after five years of being in Alaska. Michael had never realized it over the time. So he moved for the last time over to Texas, where he stayed until he was booted away to make a way for younger trainees.
During his time at Alaska, his parents died in a fire. He moved back to Colorado and after working for two years at a newspaper, now as a photographer, he had gotten a reputation of a photo-journalist. Now he is being hired as a temp photographer by various papers, and not when working for a newspaper, he is simply there to sell some of his better photographs. He has enough money to sustain his way of life.
