Andrea Trepane's (2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor) profile to come soon.
CHARACTER LIST
First Name: Carl
Middle Name: (unknown)
Last Name: Magnus
Make: BMW
Model: M3 GTR
Class: Compact Luxury Car (tuned)
Year: 2004
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Eye Color: Indigo Blue
Current Paintjob: Metallic White/Indigo Blue
Origin: Palmont City, Carbon County, California
Known Family: None
Profession/Job: Street Racer, Fugitive
Likes: Racing, evading cops.
Dislikes: The "sleepy tire of the law," is getting tired of racing alone.
Strengths: Very fast at taking corners, to make up for his lack of straight-line power. His "special power" is the Speedbreaker which allows him to slow up time for a few seconds (at least from his perspective) in order for him to perform disturbingly precise and tight maneuvers that other cars cannot perform even in normal time. For example, he can use his Speedbreaker to turn into an alley that he had spotted only a split-second before.
Weaknesses: As of the IDS RP, his cross-country sojourn has left him in need of an overhaul and a good cleaning. While his "Speedbreaker" allows him to perform such maneuvers, it takes a very long time to recharge. In particularly tight turns, he returns to normal time with much less velocity than he started with, enabling those with dexterity to corner him.
Closest To (in regard to family/friends): Those who supply him racing parts, maintenance and hideouts.
Farthest From (in regard to others/enemies): Racing rivals, cops, bounty hunters.
History: Not much is known about Carl Magnus' past, at least prior to the start of his racing career.
Plenty, however, is known about his reputation. He started off as the member, and worked his way up to the leader of one of the most notorious racing "crews" in Carbon County on the West Coast, an ace not only in city races but the duels in the nearby canyon roads as well. It was with this crew that he literally earned his shark-fin stripes...and many of his racing parts. However, this segment of his career was viciously interrupted during a police ambush during a race that caused him to flee the city and abandon his crew...under suspicious circumstances he didn't understand. Since his shameful departure from Carbon County, he has made a name as a rogue racer, his only "friends" being those people who supply him with parts and hideouts in exchange for their winning side bets on his races.
He has become the most notorious racer in two other lesser-known racing hubs: Bayview and Rockport, the latter on the other side of the country. Having to recover from his departure from Carbon County, Carl spent his Bayview career as part of its "underground." It was at the latter that his reputation as a law-breaker caught up with him, and by the time he had cemented his position at the top of its "Blacklist" he had attracted the nation-wide attention not only of the street-racing community and state/federal law enforcement, but also of mercenaries and bounty hunters who thirst for the bounty on, and for some, directly for his sheet-metal.
Carl rarely speaks, and when he does his voice sounds low, even raspy. He appears to strain and even suffer pain from speaking for more than a few words at a time. This is attributed to an incident in Rockport involving sabotage that he was able to mostly recover from and avenge, but the scars it left and its details are something he would rather not discuss even if his voice were normal.
As for his racing technique, he is not above physical contact if need be, and even enjoys knocking down obstacles to try to delay or stop competitors and other, more unwanted pursuers. However, due to the aforementioned "incident," he will not stoop as low as to attempt any form of "sabotage" or race-fixing.
