FC: Strip "The King" Weathers others as needed if not already claimed.
OC's:
Leslie Sikorsky Age: 17 (will be 18 as of the following January) Vehicle class: helicopter Model/type: A mix of things, but in build she takes the most after her mother, who had a lot of Bell 222 in her. She gets her size from her father. She's a MUTT! ;D Eyes: Amber or light hazel, depending on how you perceive it. Paint - Dark, irridescent midnight green at the top, lightening to a pale tint on the belly. Occupation: Currently, just being a teenager. Voice: Anna Paquin
Personality Development: In many ways, Leslie is the typical teenage girl going through all the pain of her growing-up process, though she is a "A" student and an assidious learner. She was born to Janice Bell-Sikorsky and her husband, Buck Sikorsky, who at that time were both serving in the army. At the age of eight, Leslie went through the traumatic experience of losing her mother, who died in the line of duty while in the Middle East, on a hostage rescue mission to free several Dinoco executives who had been kidnapped by a terrorist faction. She was left with her father and her younger sister, Theresa, and found herself bearing a load that no child should ever have to take. She became "mother" to Theresa while at the same time working to pull in top grades in school, taking on the role of "the responsible one". Her father left the army soon after her mother's passing and was hired by Dinoco, which is known for taking good care of people (or their surviving kin) who have done them significant favours. Because of his size, power and professional bearing, Leslie's father proved ideal for the publically prominent role of shuttling Dinoco-sponsored racers and appearing at other major sports and business events. Thus, Leslie and her sister lived close to the public spotlight, but not quite in it. Their father established a home for the family in Stratos City, Utah, a community founded largely by and for aircraft-types, where they were largely shielded from the glare of publicity in the larger centers.
Leslie is generally responsible for a girl her age, attentive to detail, kind in nature and very self-posessed. She is intensely loyal to her friends and there's little that she wouldn't do for them if they needed it. As the "good girl", she is well-liked by adults and they may trust her a little farther than they usually do with adolescents. However, she can exhibit a definite willful streak, and when defending her convictions or her course of action on some critical issue, she will give even her father a battle royal. She dearly loves her sister Theresa, despite their odd "sister fights" and, as is the case with her close friends, would gladly die for her.

Darcy MacIsaac, who falls into that general class of young cars known as "throwbacks", "retrokids" or "neoclassics", depending on how you look at them. Darcy is fourteen going on fifteen, but came into the world as a '70 Superbird with a 426 Hemi engine - one of the rarest of the "Mopar" muscle cars. In raw physical power, she would just about rival the King, and she may or may not have talent in that area - who knows?
However, she has much more interest in artistic pursuits than athletic ones, which did not sit well with her stepfather, a frustrated ex-racer and self-justifying "religious" type who saw her disinterest as spurning a Chrylser-given opportunity that he would have killed for. He pulled Darcy out of middle school, burned many of her notebooks and drawings, and turned her over to Sam Diamond, a coach with a reputation for abusive tactics (but who could be had cheap). Diamond figured that this girl could be his ticket back to legitimacy in the racing world, and made efforts to "season" her, by quick-and-dirty methods which proved disastrous.
Darcy has a fear of crowded spaces, and of being cornered by people. The first time a pit crew attempted to work on her, she lashed out in a blind panic and severely injured two of the pitties. After that, she ran away, got an acquaintance to give her a crude repainting job, and bought fake adult plates to travel out-of-province (she comes from Miramichi, New Brunswick). She had also gotten into self-injuring behavior as a coping mechnanism. In the uncrowded environment of Radiator Springs, Darcy is starting to unwind and build more confidence, but the shadows of her stepfather and coach, not to mention their hired thug, still loom over her. Darcy has recently been given a proper paint job of pearlescent white, and has deep brown eyes. She is still rather shy around unfamiliar or intimidating adults.
Ondine Parr, a green Bricklin born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Her parents were part of an ill-fated effort to found a new sports car dynasty in the Canadian maritimes. In the mid-70's, they relocated to Los Angeles in an effort to spare their daughter from having to go to school with kids whose parents remembered the whole boondoggle and discussed it at home. Ondine remembers very little of her childhood home, but a down-east lilt occasionally creeps into her speech, especially when she meets other Maritime natives. Ondine is now a thirtysomething professional working as an executive assistant in Dinoco's head office, but occasionally undertakes assignments further afield. In earlier years, she had been a sales rep for a wholesaler of alternative medicine products, especially aromatherapy, and she still has a continuing interest in this discipline.
Mike Kanawa is a 1995 Nissan Skyline of the GT-R series. Very few of his number are in the U.S. and he is just about the only one to be born and raised outside Japan. He is now a functionary of the U.S. branch of the Nissan clan, i.e., bodyguard. He looks like a sleeper up top (except for the spoilers) but is a fast-moving powerhouse beneath. Only the foolhardy would willingly take him on in a fight. He is a survivor of an arranged marriage that ultimately didn't work out, but this union managed to produce one daughter, Abigail (Abby). He is now linked with Ondine in that mature woman/somewhat younger man kind of way.
Abby Kanawa is the daughter of Mike Kanawa and Midori Onizuka. She is now five years old. Already she is showing above-average ability for a child of her age and type, and may make a fine drifter in future years. She has not yet reached her official "model year". Best described as an energetic little fireball.
Atsuko Kanawa, the mother of Mike and the grandmother of Abby, is also a hard-nosed veteran of the nursing field. This 1972 Nissan Z28 assisted her doctor husband in his clinic in a very tough New Jersey neighborhood. She didn't fear to run bums and junkies out of her husband's office, and she's even less impressed by "turkeys" now. She's also an "old school" tuner who doesn't take any guff off the kids.
Specialist Calvin "Skippy" Dodd, a Humvee who had been assigned to the unit just alongside Sarge's prior to his retirement (and the forced retirement of the NCO responsible for this kid). He has been passed from unit to unit like a baby with full, stinky diapers because he has this way of being lethal to the reputations and careers of all officers and NCO's who have the misfortune to have him under their command, yet it is never really proven to be HIS fault. They had to make new regulations to cover him, just because he got into stuff that nobody could possibly imagine happening before! Skippy is not much different in appearance or stature from any other standard Humvee, but has grey-green eyes and an expression that suggests he has a distinctly different way of looking at things. Some march to a different drummer, Skippy marches to a whole different band!
Catherine "Cat" Maybe (yes, Maybe is a real surname). Cat is a late-model Cadillac-based flower car, built on the same chassis as a hearse, and with similar coachwork, but with a stainless-steel flower deck over a tonneau roof. Like a hearse, Cat can carry a casket (in this world, it would be an ark containing the deceased's compacted remains), except it's under the tonneau beneath the deck for the flowers. Cat can be best described as a "perkygoth" personality and likes ska music. Cat is a native of Kansas, and has heard enough "tornado alley" and "not in Kansas anymore" jokes to last a lifetime.

The Mopar Posse:
The Superbirds:
Sara Jamieson (nee MacIsaac) a/k/a Lady Westbridge - 50-ish in age, married into UK nobility. Third-degree cousin to Darcy MacIsaac, met Neil Jamieson in Nova Scotia in the 70's while she was teaching elementary school and still has current teaching credentials that she has maintained despite being married to Neil (and his family) for twenty-nine years. Has short-track racing experience, as she competed in semi-pro and small-time pro circuits for college money. Has two sons with Neil. She and her husband have pretty much moved back to the North American side of the Atlantic to pursue their own interests away from what they perceive to be a decaying establishment in the UK. Sara is looking to start a small private school and continue the educational mission that she started off on in her youth, when she had difficulties because other faculty - and parents - had trouble taking a "muscle car" seriously as the teacher of their children. She's one of those poised, immaculate, ageless beauties who hints at what Darcy could eventually become. Sara is metallic blue, a bit like Sally's color, but more on the silvery side.
Ted (Theoden) Mills - IT pro in his mid-30's, married with four children and a wife who is a full-time mother/homemaker who occasionally climbs on his roof to get out of the house! He weathered all the booms and busts of the Internet bubble, eventually coming to rest in the technical support/help department for a large computer firm that found out that outsourcing wasn't the fantastic thing it was made out to be. He is also one of the geneological researchers and recordkeepers for the Sore Nose Society, the fraternal order of aero cars of which the King is honourary president. Ted is a talkative, gregarious sort, but not always clued-in that not everyone else is as into computers, IT and geneology as he is. Don't get him started on punning, especially when drinking and money are also involved; his talent for quick plays on words can be lethal. Ted is painted in irridescent gold flake with a pinstripe along the side.
Lyle Brody - In his late 20's, itinerant aftermarket parts dealer/flea market vendor who's been all over Texas and the Southwest. He likes the relative freedom of the travelling peddler's life and doesn't like to be tied down. Has done his fair share of dirt racing and occasional stunt work. Now doing guard work at the impound along with (EbonyViper's) Huntress, and they have become an item. Lyle is "Sublime Green", one of the original Superbird colors. He is a bit smaller and runtier than his other model-brethren because of malnutrition earlier in life, but he is a nasty fighter and the living embodiment of "Don't Mess with Texas".
The Daytona Chargers:
Lisa Mallory - In her mid-30's, professional detailer, esthetician and temporary stylist looking at setting up her own salon. If Radiator Springs keeps growing as it has, it will be a likely location. Lisa, accordingly, is a detail-oriented person, though not much more has been fleshed out about her at this time. Lisa is purple and white with a flower motif where the "DAYTONA" otherwise would be.
Kim Gantz - In her late 40's, ex-pro stock racer who retired following the death of her husband on the track. She is now a racing association official on the Maritimes/New England racing circuit, taking some time out to see that Darcy and the other kids with troubles are looked after now that Sam Diamond, who was responsible for her husband's death, is in custody. Kim is metallic teal green with silver accents.
Others:
Alvin Ramirez - '72 Charger in his 30's, professional musician and composer. Not much fleshed out yet. Medium blue with hood blackout and ram scoop.
Marisol Verde - '69 GTO Judge. Though a Pontiac and not a Mopar, is accepted in their circle, also falling into the 'muscle car' category. She is a noted textile artist and weaver who enjoys a little informal drag racing on the side. Marisol is Toreador Red (deep wine-ish, one of the original paint options for this model)

The Mexicans:
Sonya Villa Diaz - Silver 4Runner woman, crew chief for team #13 - El Huracan Negro
Huracan - Black Superbird, of unkown origins, though he has been competing in Mexican circuits for the past six years
Willow Diaz Flores Montoya McGuire - Huracan's driver, purple semi with unmarked trailer. She shares a surname with Sonya, due to the Latin system of family surnames, but is otherwise not related.
