Oh we do have a lot car exhibitions here, every types, tunning cons, edel exhibitions, Classic Cars, etc. all stuff on four wheels get a own exhibition here ... it's almost insane, but the Vienna Auto show was the biggest one overall, I still can't believe it isn't in 2007 anymore... *sigh* The most exotic car I saw at the VAS in 2006 was a Wiesmann ( www.wiesmann-mf.com/) it is a german upgrading and individual manufacturer who builds cars just as you like, the high-end luxury class and sport cars.. whatever your purse pays... I never heard of them before, though they have a nice logo.. I was really looking forward to the VAS 2007 because of the new Opel GT: and Königsegg had a own big stand on the VAS 2006 also

The amateur exhibitions here have a bit of everything. Pimped-out rides, tuned cars, restored classics, or even just a bunch of rich kids showing off their shiny new Lambo or Ferrari. All in one place. Although I'd say the best Bahraini cars are the ones driven by the local drag racers: www.topendtales.com/images/2005/bahrain/index.htm

Okies! Because of the damn rain here we decided to visit the capital city of Salzburg (same name Salzburg) and went to a big Mercedes store in the middle of the city (they sell accessories, modells, clothing all from Mercedes) and what is in that store? A DAMN REAL BIG SHINY SLR!!!! ^__^ Woah! I was so amazed, just couldn't leave the store for around 20 minutes... here are the shots I made: I only sat in one white SLR year years ago... I wasn't reall into cars at all this time... so this is generally the first time I really saw a real SLR in silver ^__^ woah, that so made my day!

Mercedes store...sounds like my kind of place. And now that you know where the real Siggy is, you should print out my Anti-Siegfried pic and show it to him to see what he thinks. And here's what car shows in my country look like: youtube.com/watch?v=FdfsP-Bj6gcPretty much exactly as I described them.

That's not the VX replacement I hope... it's too high. looks more like a Tigra convertible. In fact it looks more like a Vectra than a VX220

as far as I read the "news" (I am gettin' a little Opel mag every second month since I am in a club somehow) that GT is supposed to replace the old GT and the Speedster (that one designed by Opel, meanwhile the VX is like that one Vauxhall made in the Speedster class.. but well TOTALY not sure, I am far away from knowing what's the exact fact behind... *blush*) not sure when, but the local Opel seller I got my Corsa from will probably get a GT... and I will highly probably ask for a test drive XD I drove the new Zafira also... nice to drive, but too big for my taste, like the Astra and the Vectra a lot better.. specially the Vectra is great for looooong loooong drives.. add-on.. and the design of the VX is a lot more futuristic in comparisson to the GT... but still I think.. lotsa pretty Vauxhall/Opel/Holden rockerz anyway!

It's not supposed to replace it completely (as far as I know/checked Vauxhall doesn't come up with that GT I posted just search some photos it is only available with the Opel emblem.. per se) the VX is a "stronger" car than the GT, meanwhile the VX is supposed to be like the Speedster is, it was the only Supercar Opel/Vauxhall came up. Meanwhile, now they try to make the GT like a Speedster for the "smaller purses" not sure how to tell that... but well, I wouldn't buy it myself. I just like the design, can't tell if it's a good car overall

I can't say that I like cars that look overly shiny and futuristic. I guess I'm a bit conservative when it comes to automotive design.
So out of those two cars, I'd take the GT.(based completely on looks, of course.)

I really like the design of the new Opel GT, what a pity that they were not at the VLMS 2007. I dunno the front of that VX looks a bit odd, I like the GT more. And I think the old Opel Speedster ( autoimage.autoweb.cz/opel/Opel_Speedster_Turbo_2003_001.jpg ) looks also not that bad (it was based on the Elise).

well when i say VX, I mean the VX220 - which the Opel Speedster is just an Opel badged version. the VX220 is indeed based on the Elise. only is better. it's faster, has... actual stuff in it such as air con and a radio and it's cheaper. The Elise has a posh badge. (nothing against the elise btw - just prefer the VX). the VX you showed has had the name VX Lightning attatched to it in the past.

I'd take the VX220 too, not only because of its extra features but also because of its looks. As I already said, I see its simpler, less curvy style as a plus.
And I spotted some fake badging on the road today...a Mercedes-Benz "S350 AMG". Sounds innocent at first(at least, more innocent than the 'sharpie pimping' I posted earlier), but every Benz freak worth his/her salt knows that AMG models only have two-digit model numbers. And besides, 3.5L is way too small for an S-Class AMG engine.

I need to find a used "Porsche Carrera GT" badge to put on the rear bonnet of a Volkswagen in the future. xD
Oh, how amusing that would be.

Whoa. I could've sworn that was an American drag event if they hadn't said it was in Bahrain. O.=.o
