No reason for a petition...I dont think they would go for it anyway. Pixar never makes movies they plan to repeast (~kicks Disney in the face~), so you can bet they would have never had any thought at most characters histories in that sort of detail...enough to make an interesting story in anyway.

If someone can write an excellent story that could make the big screen without being slightly cheesy.....submit it to Pixar and see what they say say then.

well i do remember reading - albeit in reference to the incredibles, but I'm sure they'd extend that to any other film - that if there were a good enough story that would merit a film on its own right, then they'd certainly consider a sequel... sort of... they don't do them per-se, but won't limit themselves by saying never. a good policy I think.

and in all honesty, the TS sequel WAS a good film in its own right. As i said, most see it as superior tothe original. And as also i have said much before, there's a whole world of potential for a Cars sequel.. literally.. which is one reason i'd nevr completly dismiss sequel news.

I LOVED TS 2....

but would they have to use Paul Newman?? because if it was a prequeal..with young doc..wouldn't his voice sound too old? XD..i do love his voice though..but i dunno if it would suit a young doc..

I think I would survive if they got someone else to do Doc, as long as they picked someone who was really good. I generally hate it when they change voice actors in animation, but sometimes it's fine, like when they changed Lilo's voice for Lilo and Stitch 2. The new actress did a wonderful job, and they needed to find someone else because the girl who did her originally is now a young woman. So if they found someone GOOD to do Doc, I would be able to tolerate it.
