Oh nothing easier like that, a lot of Italians here speak german (since it's besides two german speaking countries... and it's actual my second home too) when I compared the english and the german version of Luigi for example, the german had a lot more grammar twists than the english one, plus the accent of course, it works out, and I would dare to say a little level funnier too

(sorry, double-post)Umm..... you german people, which do you prefer in voice acting? It sounded pretty good in the trailers, but the actual movie lacks...... good acting..... I'm only at watching the opening race so far and... <sarcasm> Cartrip sounds excited (not)Chuck sounds angry Peterbilt is a guy XD ((more to be added later)) </sarcasm>

Yeah, overall the german version isn't really that "thrilling" and not sure if you yet saw the scenes featuring the King.. but prepare for a shock... XD I think he has the worst german voice I ever heard in an Animation movie... Cartrip had exactly 3 german voice types as far as I checked and saw (a german, an austrian and a swiss (? not sure about that) version) I saw the german and austrian "version" of him... the reason why they made this exactly is the overall F1 insanity over here and the voice actors are popular F1 reporters of each mentioned country ... well doesn't mean they are good voice actors to be exact XD still.. my overall preferend german voice is Chick... so awesome in german ;P not sure what are the main differences in the trailer and in the final movie are... need to check

I'd really like to see the movie in several languages to compare it! But, I saw a scene on youtube with the King in German. It's... not very good voice acting. I mean, ouch. Nowhere near the kind of expression as Richard Petty gives him.
And Strip is my favourite character, too.
Couple things about the second trailer, too: - "Radiatah SPRINGS!!" - I don't recall Luigi spinning when he sees the Ferrari - Luigi's voice actually does have an Italian inflection - Re-dubbing never sounds as good as the original
It's got to be awkward showing a movie anywhere else that's essentially made for Americans. Because all the vehicles, locations, and references are geared toward the USA. I mean, a WWII Jeep speaking German? That's weird. And, Nascar is not widely embraced. Anywhere else would have F1-style racing, I'm sure.
