I just realised something, did Wrangler go to their town via road, becasue he resembles and Endurance racer, and they aren't road legal.

Neither are NASCAR stockers, yet Lightning is running around on open roads without a problem.
Besides, I think the legality of certain types of cars is the last thing this movie needs fixed.

Ehh....? This makes me wanna pour acid on my brains. Count me in as another Doc patient. Not only is this Pixar abuse but 3D abuse too!

You rock for reviewing this. I kept saying I'd do it but I couldn't bring myself to pay (too much) money for the movie. I'm glad you got it free from the library, as it looks positively dreadful. And I thought Jay-Jay the Jet Plane (doll faces stuck on the front ends of airplanes) was creepy!
One question, how long was the actual car movie? The DVD packaging mentioned other cartoons being on the disc...

Ah, I see your point, I forgot! And yeah, it is 3d abuse, people on here(Suzidragonlady's name psrings to mind) can do way better 3d models, and she isn't even 'pro'. How can the people who made this be considered pro!

Yeah, while Cars is nearly photorealistic, I've seen PS2(let alone PS3 or Xbox 360) games with better graphics than this.
Pixar should buy the rights to this movie and re-release it as "Cars 2: Rise of the Mutants."

Oh God no. Just....no. Reminds me of the time when I saw this foreign-made Lightning toy on a market stall sometime last month. They'd pretty much got the dimensions, scaling and decals right... And then I looked a little closer and saw what appeared to be two very human-looking eyes stuck onto a grey windshield. I wonder if Lassetter and co. have heard or seen this travesty?

Note that the Mater-Fillmore-Red-Mutant-Thing has a peace sign on his front. Obviously the makers didn't have the money to license the VW logo(and even if they did, I doubt Volkswagen want anything to do with this travesty).

I figure in the locality of Radiator Springs, racecars that otherwise aren't road-legal get a polite blind eye from Sherriff as long as they behave reasonably.
