1-10 up. It's in kind of an interview style. My limit is 100 words per listed item. Since I've kind of killed Aron, I decided to try to summarize him. After Ebony went back with the 100 list, I decided to use it as an summary.
1. Introduction
I wondered what to make of the hole into the mountain. It reminded me of Cheyenne Mountain. But what I did know was that I couldn’t say the usual things, how grateful I was that they had the doors open for me, or how injured I was and I needed immediate attention. But the latter didn’t apply to me. After a moment, I figured out what to say, which would make me remembered.
A man around my age came up to me. I simply looked at him and said: “Excuse me, but could you direct me to the nearest shower?”
2. Love
I don’t quite remember what we spoke about. The details of our conversation has slipped my mind. It was something about the amulet she had, and how it interacted with the crystals in the chamber. If I had known what would happen later, I would have perhaps paid more attention. But it was then that I really noticed her. I didn’t make the decision then, but I knew that she was there.
3. Light
I looked up at the light, realizing that I was alive. I learned of why I was alive a little later. What was most surprising was that my knee was no longer hurting. That was more surprising than the fact that I could breathe normally. It was bright in the clinic, almost blinding. Seeing Mia coming into the room with a smile on the face reassured me that I was alive and healthy.
4. Dark
I was right next to a light source, but I never dared to turn it on. It was so strange to think this was really happening, being kidnapped in an alien world. I wasn’t alone, but we two were in the dark, awaiting the doors to open up and reveal whoever that had taken us. If he or she wanted to, they would explain as of why. I certainly wanted to know. It was hard to hope for a help when the stronger partner was out cold by unknown means, and I couldn’t see anything.
5. Seeking Solace
It was quite easy to find the dome. Of course it was pitch black, but it was both easily accessible while easily overlooked. You had to bend down slightly to enter it, but it was large, but not too large to cause echoes. It was a nice place, once you had something comfy to lie down on, some drink or food and most of all, a light source. He just wished he had known about it before the trials.
6. Break Away
I never figured out what happened exactly between me and Delfina. I’ve been told it happens with most couples, but my brother and his girlfriend never had that trouble. I broke up with her during a wedding. She just wasn’t who I knew. She wasn’t who I wanted her to be. She didn’t listen, she didn’t take any advices, she generally acted alone on no one’s information but hers. I wanted someone who could listen and take some pointers from others.
7. Heaven
The topic of heaven has crossed my mind. I know I am not really destined to rise up in the air towards the sky. I’ve done bad things in my past that I don’t really regret. I only regret it when I have to tell others about it. But I’ve talked to others about it, who know a bit more about the topic than most priests and religious people. And I think I know how to leave this place.
8. Innocence
Am I? Hell no. For me, Innocence is simply lines that are crossed. There are several of them, one for each kind of taboo or boundary you break, and thus cross the line. I’ve crossed more lines than most, so I assume I am less innocent than others. As for what lines I’ve crossed, I think it would take a while to tell about.
9. Drive
What drives me on? I am going to bet on survival. That’s my main motivation. I can of course lie and say my main motivation is education, money, family and that. But I want to survive. I want to be known. Some can argue that I am known, but I don’t feel like that. I strive to survive, to be alive. I’ve been in danger so often that nothing else is left for me.
10. Breathe Again
I remember when I could breathe again at more ease. I was near death, inhaling large amount of carbon monoxide, but when I felt my restraints being cut away and I was pulled out of the car, I knew I could be at more ease. I could breathe again without worrying. And then I fainted. I guess I had inhaled too much CO.
