"And this is something I can't get rid of with a simple healing touch," said Delfina, as she and Dawn half-carried Raven up the ramp and carefully set him down against the raised railing of the research vessel, "It takes too much effort and energy and I'll be affected as well."
Freda watched, but was silently waiting until everyone was aboard and secured before she left the dock.

"And maybe a massage?" Ebony suggested slyly.
The kids yawned and Artemis wanted to be carried by her mother. At least the girl was still small and light enough for Ebony to do so. The twins had to follow along between their parents as they headed back to camp.

"Of course, my dear." Kendall chuckled. "I didn't bring that rubdown kit along just to take up trunk space."
Stokes waited until Freda was under way, then headed out alongside her. They were in no special hurry, it being another clear night with the stars out.
Dawn, however, had her hands full, encouraging those who had over-indulged and were now more than a little green to "get sick" in buckets and empty coolers rather than on Freda's nice, clean decks!

Ebony grinned as she drove alongside Kendall, "Have I told you how much I love you?"
*****
Freda cruised a few knots until her normal speed as she headed back to the cove with Stokes alongside her. The waters were dark and the only light was the phosphorescence from the moonlight as her bows cut through and sending ripples in any direction.
Nerisa had gone on ahead of Freda, still feeling the need to protect her friend from anything that Carl might throw at them.
Delfina sat and watched over Raven as he lay curled up on a blanket that she had set out for him once they set foot on Freda's deck. She only felt a slight buzz herself, but she didn't drink as much as the alien. Though, she might need to go to sleep once they got back to the cove.

Dawn and others who had maintained sobriety helped their friends safely into the waiting Zodiacs and headed back towards shore, with Stokes watching them and following them with his searchlight to see that none of the inebriated fell overboard. She then secured the inflatables and helped her companions back to their tents.
"It's the best thing I could ever hear." Kendall smiled as they approached their camp site.

Delfina helped to carry Raven over to one of the tents to let him sleep the rest of alcohol he had drunk and managed to drag herself to her own tent. She fell right to sleep.
*****
"And I feel happy," Ebony said with a smile, seeing the campsite ahead of them. Now it was bedtime for the kids as she drove up to the family tent.

Freda watched the humans disembark to the camp to get some much needed sleep.

Now that all the humans were safely ashore, Stokes gave Freda a soft good-night nuzzle. "I'm glad it went off so well."
"Off to bed, all of you." Kendall nudged the children to their mats.
Dawn stopped by Delfina's tent flap, which was still open, and threw a blanket over her and zipped up the flap before moving on.

(((((OOC: Yeah, okay. Timejump is fine.)))))
"I know," Freda returned the nuzzle, "I'm glad. Especially since my folks are coming to visit me soon anyway."
*****
The twins yawned in sleepy protest but did as their parents told them and curled alongside their sister. Ebony smiled and went to lay down herself, tired from today's events.
*****
Delfina was already asleep. Shadow was curled up beside her.

Kendall got the heat-wrap kit out, and wound it around Ebony's antenna. He then started to work on her sides and rear quarter with the chammy pads.
"I'm really looking forward to meeting them." Stokes nodded.
Finally, Dawn went and crashed in the tent she shared with several other late-teen girls.

Ebony relaxed her tired body and welcomed the massaging.

"They'll probably be here by mid-day tomorrow," said Freda.

"I'll be off at 1600 again, so I'll probably see you in the evening." Stokes answered.

"You'll get to tomorrow," said Freda.

A pair of ships appeared over the horizon the next day heading on a course to Villa Hermosa. One was an older research vessel, but slightly resembled Freda and the other was a destroyer. Both Rebecca and Arrow were coming to visit their daughter.

Carl's radar-sense detected two more ships heading to Villa Hermosa, and he followed them out of interest, for a short distance. He stayed over the horizon, being no fool in a cunning, animal sort of way, but if they were alert, they would be aware of him.

As the couple made their way to Villa Hermosa, Arrow's radar was active as it spun on its axis. He could pick up a couple of blips in the area and being a warship, he was alert. So he was determined to steer Rebecca clear of any danger if his radar detected any.

Carl decided to move in closer and test the warship's reactivity. Maybe the destroyer would hesistate to do anything too drastic with an R/V beside him.
Dagmar tagged along quietly beside Malia as the Boston Whaler escorted her through the marina at Villa Hermosa. The doctor had okayed light exercise for her recovery period, and after yesterday's breakfast meeting, during which it seemed that it wasn't so much the big boss as his girlfriend who wanted to ask her questions, it was decided that she needed a break from the coach as well. Malia would become her chaperone for the next little while. Hannah Moorehead, Vilinsky's girlfriend, had grown up with a family business that brokered contracts between yachts and their clients, and probably had more practical knowledge of the nature of boats than Vilinsky, who had been into boat racing for perhaps five years. Perhaps Hannah had convinced her SO of Dagmar's need for social contact, or perhaps she'd reminded him that docks for racing teams were made of aluminum for a reason, and racers on constricted training schedules with no other activity often developed neurotic habits such as chewing on wooden docks. Vilinsky's were made of the finest teak and very expensive!
Thus, the established need to find something else for her to do... and when they'd seen what there was to see of Villa Hermosa, at least for a boat, there were the coves beyond...
Randy paced the cove mouth nervously. Carl was about again, he could feel it.
Erika went to the beach, seeking out Delfina.

Arrow blinked as a certain blip became more pronounced. He slowed and focused on the blip. Someone was out there. Someone large. Who was it?
Rebecca slowed too, sensing her mate's attention on something else.
*****
Delfina was seen running toward the edge of the beach, followed by her dog. She had a shocked expression as she had picked up on the life signature of someone very familiar as well.
Nerisa was also picking up on everyone's change of behavior as well.
