"I've never been there." Bill looked interested in hearing more.
Bree stirred in her sleep, murmuring something.
"We'd need the scent of the drug to compare it with, otherwise how would we know?" Jastrow turned his gaze back towards the shore.

"Maybe we could get a doctor to let us get a whiff of it." Randy suggested.
"She's just talking in her sleep." Greg reassured him, then grinned a little. "Getting a little... intimate there."
Bree's siblings blushed, and made no comment but for Jordan giving Shale a nose-bump. "Sounds like she loves you!"
"It'd be worth the trip, Bill." Fillmore nodded before looking back to Ebony. "Aside from the really bad night with Mr. Blades, how's the visit going?"

"What about that inland doctor that you got Harriman to talk to?" Jastrow suggested. "He could put a drop or two on a blotter or tissue and send it over."
"Well, that definitely confirms it, lad." Greg laughed, still a little red-faced with embarrassment at Bree's unconsciously delivered TMI details. Bree's sibs had retreated to the far end of the lot rather than hear more than they wanted to know about their sister's (and Shale's) love life.
"Yes, Doris and Mitch are." Bill answered with another nod. "Charming couple."

After a while, Bree ceased to murmur and fell into a deeper sleep.
An older Mercedes and a nondescript-looking late 70's van were also parked at the diner, listening in on the surrounding conversations. Their sideviews pricked at the mention of the UFO.

"I never forgot it. It was like somebody etched it into my memory with acid." declared Bill.
The Mercedes, at the other end, lifted his front.
"Shale, you look pretty bushed yourself." Robin gave the Bell mix a nudge. "You're gonna fall over if you don't get some rest. Go take a nap. We'll wake you if anything changes."
"Seal it up good first." Jastrow said. "So it doesn't lose anything. We should do that as quickly as possible."

"Yeah, I guess you're right," nodded Shale, "I'll just go and lay down now."
The Agusta mix did just that, laying down near the entrance of Bree's hangar and closing his eyes. He was soon asleep.

"Let's go find a UPS then," said Freda.
"Sounds good to me," agreed Delfina with a nod.

Bill froze, then looked around cautiously. His voice lowered to a whisper. "You did? When?"
"There's an office by the fuel dock." Randy said. It was not just a place to top off, but a gathering spot for boats to carry on other business as well.

"I hope he's keepin' himself well hidden." Bill took another wary look around. "Chrylser knows the kind of people who'd be after him."
Randy, Jastrow and Erika proceeded back to the fuel dock to get the fuel can packaged and shipped off. They were also feeling a little empty, Erika especially, as the requirements of the medical examination had forbidden any food intake beforehand.
