Bart growled and held back another bolt. "This would all be over if you just tell me where she is, you worthless piece of scrap! You have no business keeping her from me!"
He stomped his tire, shaking the room slightly and knocking books from their shelves, including two worn leather-bound books.

"Oh wow!" Ebony answered in a sarcastic tone, "You actually remembered what people call my kind. Good for you. You deserve a reward. In the form of two very angry planes from the Raven tribe. I think you know what I'm talking about."
She saw the two books drop to the floor, noting the old, worn leather that each was wrapped in. So those must be the spellbooks. Now how to get to them was another matter.

Bart snorted. "No planes are gonna make me drop from finding her," he said. "She needs to pay for what she did getting away!"

"For that? Pft! Total nonsense!" scoffed Ebony, "Obviously, you don't hold much respect for her from what I'm seeing right here in front of me. Wow, what crawled up your tailpipe and died? She's actually better than you are, in my opinion."
Ebony needed a distraction so that she would be able to get to those books without Bart noticing. Now what could she do?

"That brat won't get my respect until she earns it!" Bart growled. "And until then she'll never advance any further!" He glanced back and noticed the fallen books and growled.

Again, Ebony scoffs. "Why would she need to earn your respect? You certainly don't have hers. Chrysler, is it just me or am I surrounded by Stupid all of sudden? Somebody get a Stupid repellent or something."
(((((OOC: Are they just going to keep at it or is there some way for Ebony to get those books?)))))

Bart growled again. "Quiet you useless waste of oil! You are trying my patience!"
(((Not much longer. Kind of stuck on thinking up a distraction. And want to get her untied because someone got fired at work 'again' so I have to go in at one and I don't want to leave you stuck.)))

(((((OOC: If you want, I could puppet...)))))
"Wow, it doesn't take much to get you angry, doesn't it?" Ebony deadpanned, "Maybe you should go to some anger-management classes or something. Would work wonders."
Ebony had an idea. Maybe if she made a show of inspecting the room, she could probably get to the point where she'd be close enough to the books to snag them up.

"What would work wonders is if you tell me where you are hiding her," Bart growled. "What use is she to you besides the court magician?"
(((Okay but as long as Bart isn't hurt too badly when Ebony gets away. But he is gonna put a tracking spell on her. Though it would be a while until he'll follow.)))

Ebony continued to circle the room, gradually getting closer to the books. Maybe she could make a show of putting them back on their shelf to be able to pick up the spell books without anyone noticing her.
"Now why would I want to do that?" asked Ebony, "If you're going to hurt her again? I won't let that happen to her. And to me, she is a friend that I actually trust. Which is more than you can never say about her."
Almost there...

"Trust is for dreamers," Bart said as he followed Ebony around the room. "Pure intimidation works much better."

Ebony sighed and made a tsking sound with her tongue. "Oh, how sad. Intimidation may work for awhile, but in the end you'll end up alone and without any allies to help you. I know that for a fact. Trust actually gets you somewhere. Too bad you're never going to learn that."
She pulled up next to the bookshelf and started putting the books back. Yet, she had inconspicuously rolled over top the spell books. Her antenna stretched and snaked under and surreptitiously slipped them into one of her side compartments.

"Gentle with those," Bart growled lunging at Ebony. "All those cost more than you'd ever see in your lifetime."

Ebony reversed quickly away as Bart lunged at her. "I was, geez! I was just putting them back for you. Be thankful I did that for you."
She was glad that she had the spellbooks now, but now to get out of here. "Well, since I'm really no help to you, I'd better take my leave."

Bart snapped his antenna and the black SUVs came into view. "You aren't going anywhere," He growled as they came up on either side of Ebony.
"You may not have told me where she is," Bart grinned wickedly. "But we have other ways to making you talk."
