"Don't let us hold you back," Doc motioned towards the horizon. "You all have radios, so we'll let you know if anything happens."

Ebony relaxed a little, relieved that she didn't have to keep going slow for the riders.
"Thanks, Doc," she said, "I'll keep my radio on just in case. See you at the compound."
With that, the Viper turned and sped off toward the horizon, reveling in the high speeds that she now able to attain. Don't worry, you two. Momma's coming back.

Raine offered Doc a tiny smile. "Just be careful out there..." She was surprised at how quickly she had grown attached to the old Hornet.

It was a long drive, but Ebony was relieved when she finally crossed the border from Arizona into Colorado and heading into the area where the Seekers currently resided. More driving brought her back to the familar forest of tress where she had camped before she met up with the humans and she could now see the top of the ash-covered mountain.
She was almost there and her children were waiting for her.
(((((OOC: Where exactly in Colorado is the Seeker Compound located? I don't think that was established at the beginning of the RP.)))))

<<< It's very close to the Four Corners area, where Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico meet>>>
Dawn stood up as she heard Ebony's voice. "We're still right here!" She could see that the toddlers were getting excited as they heard their mother call for them.
In their camp, Wells and Delaney observed from afar as they discussed their next move.
"So what do you think the chief's doing?" Delaney asked.
"What do you think? Keeping DeWine off their backs and ours. I just hope they take your suggestion about setting up some traps for whoever's talking to him there."
"Tess called it a "honeypot". Delaney smiled. "She's not stupid at all. She said "If the media comes looking for a circus, they'll find out I grew up in that business!" Call me perverse, but I'm kind of looking forward to that."

Ebony pulled up to the stall, grateful to be back. She was relieved to see Kestrel and Falcon, who pranced toward her, bumping their little fenders into hers and chirping happily.
"Glad to see you too," she smiled down on her children. Ebony snuggled them both.

"Falcon seemed to miss you more than Kestrel." Aron said as jogging in. He had just gotten the word of that Ebony had returned. "We ran into slight problem with him, but it never escelated into something serious." Aron, a believer of honesty, said without pausing. He was though bit hesitant to tell about that Falcon had disappeared while he figured he could rest his eyes for a moment. But he would tell the whole thing if Ebony enquired.

Ebony raised her eyeshades at this, knowing how her son would react whenever she was not there. "Let me guess. Falcon ran off, didn't he?"

"Yes." Aron said sheepisly. "I thought I could catch a moment's breath and closed my eyes for a moment, and the next one, he was gone." He rubbed the back of his head. "Did you find - what's her name again, the runaway?"

"Raine." Dawn filled Aron in. "Hope she didn't break her leg out there."

Ebony had no need to blame Aron for almost losing Falcon, but she tilted a bit to rub her fender against her son's again. "I'm guessing he followed my scent. And yes, I found Raine in a little town called Radiator Springs and I bet that name sounds strange to you humans too. Fortunately, we convinced her to come back. She's aboard Robin now and she'll be here shortly. I went on ahead of everybody."

Martin, after waking up, decided to go see how Aron, Dawn and the twins were doing.
"Hi, you two. The kids didn't make you night too hard?"
It was only at that time he noticed Ebony. He was still half-asleep.
"Oh, hi. So, Raine wasn't too much of a brat? Or was she?"
He was a lot easier than the last time he met her. Maybe because he just woke up, maybe because he got used to it.

Ebony turns to Martin when he comes up and nods, "Yes I did. She's coming back shortly, along with a few new friends that she made while she was um... out."

"Speak of the devil." Dawn ran down the hall towards the open gate as the sound of helicopter blades reached them. Robin touched down and killed her engine, allowing time for her blades to still before opening the door for Liska, Raine and Enkidu. Enkidu seemed to be bouncing on the balls of his feet as he sighted Shadow, as he'd been anxious to get to "know her better" for days. Phoenix, feeling better but still surly, glared from the shelter of a canopy opposite the goat pen. Shayla and an older prop-driven warbird type hung around, now and then running interference for Sid as he worked on the Trans Am.

Shadow barked when Robin touched down and let her passengers out. She loped off to greet them, but stopped short when Enkidu pranced up to her. The husky wasn't sure, but she seemed to be developing an interest for Enkidu.
