Noah crept forward, taking slow, soft steps to avoid creating any more noise. He remained crouched down as he slinked out of the grass onto the parched riverbank. By some fluke, he saw that the stranger's back was to him. If he could take credit for one thing, it was being able to pounce anyone his size, anytime, anywhere without fail.
Grinning slightly to himself, he kept low, approaching the stranger from behind.

Maui grinned.
"Okay.... names.... names for these things. I was thinking 'The Maui Principal' but it doesn't roll off the tongue. I was thinking leavers and wedges.... but I'm not sure...." Maui muttered to herself completely unaware of who was behind her.

Noah tilted his head, briefly wondering what this female was nattering on about, before deciding it didn't matter. If the Betas had missed her, maybe there would be a reward in store for whomever took care of her.
He shifted his weight back on his ankles, folding his claws in, tail against the ground, tensing his leg muscles, and then springing forward with the best threatening snarl he could muster.
((I'll leave it up to you whether he misses or not.))

Maui then heard the snarrling.... or more like the attempt at a threatening snarl. (Or did she? No one could really be entirely certain.)
"Eh....?" said Maui who at first appeared aware.
Just a few milliseconds in to Noah's spring, Maui noticed something interesting on the ground.
"Ooooo! That's a nice looking rock! It'll work for some of my experiments," said Maui bending down to pick up the rock.
Perhaps it was sheer dumb luck for Maui as Noah went sailing clear over her and completely missed her.
(OOC: XD I was thinking of similar moments during the Simpsons where Homer does something similar when he sees something he likes on the ground. XD )

The snarl instantly dropped from Noah's face once he saw his target duck. Too busy looking back to see what had foiled his plan, the Zeburi sentry had no time to correct his position.
He hit the ground chest first, the momentum carrying him into a roll that led him to land flat on his back, staring up at the sky. Face burning with humiliation, he swiped angrily at the air as he rolled to the side, displacing a fair amount of sand in the process.
Back on his feet, Noah glared at Maui. "You weren't supposed to duck!" he snapped.

Maui blinked at Noah.
"But I saw a nice rock to use! Hey! Are you another inventor too? Are you expermimenting with stuff to make Raptors fly?" said Maui curiously.
(OOC: Maui = has totally the wrong impression. XD )

Noah shook his head, partially in reply, partially in confusion. "'Make 'raptors fly'? What are you - ?" He stopped to compose himself. "No, I'm not doing... whatever you said. I am trying to eradicate an anomaly my superiors seemed to have missed."

"I'M the anaomaly? But those guys over there who went to that cave said it was okay for me to pass on through! Uh.... I don't get it. Was it something I did?" said Maui.
Apparentally, she didn't know that Noah was with the Zeburi clan.

"Cave?" Noah repeated, looking more confused than ever, before disgust flooded his face. He bared his teeth at the idea. "I'm not one of the Makena. In case you didn't notice, the plains side of the river is where their territory ends! How the Betas missed detecting you is strange enough, but I have never been one to see the Zeburi let an intruder leave alive."

Sarena was in the plains, using her grey pattern to hide. For the colorblind iquanadons, she was just some unclear rock or part of the landscape as she was crouching down and slowly creeping closer. She was though tracking the herd, but she knew by scent where it was. All she had to was to circle around it, let them smell her and then leap and try to herd them to the raptors waiting nearby out of sight and smell of the herd. She had one omega male with her, who kept his distance from Sarena in case he would give the game away too early.
Sarena slowly circled the herd considerable distance away, and played the waiting game.

"Makena? Uh.... I'm not with them. I'm not with anyone at all, really. I'm a pack of one. Just one raptor travaling the world. You see.... my old clan kicked me out, so I'm on my own," said Maui.

"I see all right," Noah replied suspiciously, "What I don't see is what the reasoning behind your exile was."

The Alphas and the Betas waited, upwind of the iguanadons. Besides the four of them, others had come along, those not bound by having to watch the chicks back at the nests.
Neonis kept low, motionless, beside the Alpha male. He and Seleysha's father had never really had what one might call a friendship, but they did tolerate one another at times such as this, for the sake of the pack.

"Well.... my experiment on Horned vegitatrians got a little out of hand and almost hurt some kids. I rescued them, but they kicked me out thinking I was too reckless and too revolutionary. I mean I saved the kids, right? But they kicked me out anyways. So I traval," said Maui.

Noah snorted lightly. Maui's former packmates weren't the only ones to think her a little strange, as it were.
"That's all your business is here, then?" he asked with a slightly less hostile edge, "You're not here to cause harm?"

"Nope. Not at all. All I want to do is work on my experiments and inventions and make life easier for everyone," said Maui.
