in watching the movie... I see Tires seem to be controlled by their users... And i'm not talking movement and such i'm talking PSI or tire pressure...
In case you can watch the tires go almost flat then come back to a standered running pressure... So what i'm saying is the car must be able to control this, or to a point...

Interesting concept... I'm not sure how in control of tire pressure they are. Lightning didn't notice that his tires were slowly deflating after falling into the cactus patch until he is "attacked" by Guido with the tire filling spray. For these reasons I highly doubt that they can "reflate" their own tires, but I'm sure they can accurately sense when they are low, under normal circumstances.

I thought it was an oil leak or something... must say, on seeing the topic title, all i could think was... "yes... they're those round things that go under the car."

I'm not sure if they can control tire pressure....seeing as they don't seem to feel pain when they pop/get punctured (For instance, McQueen didn't really notice when he was haulin' bootay in the first Piston Cup race) I think they'd prolly be more like the rubber on your shoes.....unable to feel pain, but if a thorn were to go far enough to touch the actual rims of the tires, I'm sure they would feel it then.
.......that's just my meager opinion.

I don't think they'd feel the rims either...since they're removable, and Lightning would have been screaming his face off when he dragged his punctured tires across the track in the first race.

I think Pixar cars can feel pain in certain body parts e.g. McQueens fall into the cactus patch. But can tolerate more of it like The King wasn't crying out in agony after his crash. I don't think tyres feel. Tyres I supose are like gloves but maybe rims can a little but not pain as such.... like when hit a stick on something, you can feel the smack but it doesn't hurt. I dunno.... tyres is like paws ehhe

I don't know why they'd need to. I wouldn't consciously ever run on a flat if I could control tire pressure. And Fillmore's obviously flat there. XD Maybe he just doesn't care to get it reinflated.

i think fillmore's kinda leaning slightly on that side..he's just slightly tilted and applying alot of pressure on that side...i've noticed that alot when cars lean in certain angles their tires get pressed down..especially in sheriff's squishy soft tires.. but on sarge i don't think so considering his tires are so thick with tread.

I think pooky's got it - since cars are dynamic beings, they can apply pressure or lean on one side of their body more than another, which is something a regular car would not be able to do. Tires must have to be "flexible" and more durable than regular car tires to handle the weight distribution of the car at any particular time.
