Similarities I noticed between Cars and Herbie: Fully Loaded...
1. Michael Keaton. 2. Final race at a speedway in California, particularly in or near the L.A. area. 3. The junked stock car that Maggie pretends she's winning the Piston Cup in is numbered 86. 4. Cameo and frequent mention of a real-life NASCAR racer (even if Fully Loaded uses the real NASCAR.)
I think there were more...but I forget... X.=.x

I've noticed similarities between Cars and other 2006 driving/car movies. For example:
Cars and RV: -Both star a rich-but-unhappy city dweller who's controlled by his manager. -Both have the main character(s) go on a road trip across the American countryside for business purposes, but end up being sidetracked. -Both have the main character(s) run into a group of what they perceive as "insane rednecks", but by the end of the movie the "rednecks" turn out to be much more intelligent and likable than at first glance. -Both have the main character(s) abandon their old lifestyle and join up with the "rednecks"
Cars and Tokyo Drift: -Both open up with a race that has no clear winner. -Both have the main character lose a race because he fails to drift/powerslide. Learning how to do that type of turn becomes a subplot of the movie.

Being a huge Herbie Fan, I was actually quite dissapointed by Fully Loaded. Didn't stack up to the older movies.
Anywhoo. Yeah, I've been imagining a crossover between HFL and Cars for sometime now. Obviously Herbie would be the main character and Maggie wouldn't exist, but yeah.

The yellow New Beetle's official name is Sally. That would cause some confusion xD
And I'd much prefer if Herbie stayed with Giselle, the Lancia Scorpion he dated in Herbie goes to Monte Carlo.
