Okay! Ever wondered what Kamui's Blade-fan looks like? Well! I've just rendered one out in 3D! So here's what it looks like closed: This one was a quicky! I created this in 1 hour and quickly dropped some textures on it just to give some rough ideas here. What do you all think? ~Kamui.EXE

Hmm.. my main problem with Cinema 4D is that all the modelling stuff turns out too "round" I can't render the edges like they are modelled... well I am a 4D noob *LOL* XD
I think it is called 4D because of it's bodypaint feature, which is a thing they consider as 4th dimension, you can paint the textures directly on your modell... trés nice...
@kamui.EXE looks really nice! Do you plan to make a reflection on there? I played around with raytracing in Max for a while but after too much playing around I started to hate Max official... *LOL*

well i knew that the D meant... but i never figured time as being considered as one. (you'd think i would with the resurgance in popularity of Dr Who and all eh? - reminds me of a Jimmy Carr line (apologies to any DR Who fans in advance... ) "Dr Who has 4 lives left; which strikes me as unfair, since his fans don't have one" (it was pretty much that - probably worded better))

I just dropped in some dummy textures for now, but I do have some sweet metal textures lying around that'll do the trick and make the Blade-fan look much more reflective than what you're seeing right there. ^^;; ~Kamui.EXE

I'm starting to get half-decent with SketchUp. No cars so far, but I managed to re-create a thing a skier like me sees a lit... a ski-lift tower! Okay, it would be kinda off-topic to post the image here, but if you want it, I'll do it.

a section of a really long, wide torus gives it that gentle curve

Here is a work in progress, being done in SketchUp. It's gonna be a Superbird when I'm done with it.

I drew inspiration from Black Dog, Max. Overdrive and a couple of other a$$kicking semi movies.
you might now be able to see it but there's a heavy wire mesh over the lights, grill and windshields/windows of Kain. You can see it clearly over Kain's headlights. Robb has it over his side windows and front grill/headlights.
Funny enough, I built Kain by heavily modifying parts of a copy of Robb.
By the by, he has three spikes pointing out and forward on each side because he has a nasty attack he calls the 'Rub out.' He slams into a car's side with his own, trying to hook them on the spikes, once hooked that car becomes sort of a 'bumper' for him to use on concrete barriers, walls, other cars, etc. When he wants to finish off his 'bumper', he runs them into a corner of a wall or barrier, and the spikes retract just before impact.

good work evangiline. Scrolling up the way, I for one recognised that it was a Superbird before reading that it was indeed one; so you've certainly got the basic shape down (barring the huge rear wing)
