Long title, haha. So what are some good, or bad, things people you know have said about the movie?
I was driving with my dad to the Osage (indian tribe) ceremonial dances in Pawhuska where he used to live. It was really a tiny near-ghost town like Radiator Springs, and after giving me the tour, we took the highway to get to the dances.
Him: Sometime in the seventies they put this bypass nesxt to the town. People used to have to drive through Pawhuska to get back on the highway, but now they can go right through. Me: Oh, man that sucks. Him: Yeah...just like on Cars, huh? Me: Haha yes!
Later that day he made another reference to cars, about the tractors. Him: I love that movie, Luke likes to watch it every single day. Me: Haha really? Him: Yeah, and Mater and the Ghostlight. Me: I love Mater and the Ghost light, it was the best. Cars is my favorite movie. Did you know there's going to be a sequel? Him, excited: Really? That's great! Me: I know, but it's not coming out until 2012. Him: Aw, four years? That's too long. Me: Seriously. I don't know what I'm going to do for four years.
Then I showed him the giant Fillmore sticker that was on the cd player I was listening to, lol. I can't remember the rest of the conversation. I've talked to him about Cars before, and his favorite character is Mack, since my dad is a truck driver too, and he appreciates all the little things Mack says or does that have to do with driving. His favorite part is when Mack falls asleep, lol. I think it's awesome that a 42 year old guy could love that movie so much.

My great-aunt (who also loves the movie) said something among the lines of: "There's no way this can be a kid's movie- they wouldn't understand half of what's going on in here!"
Or something like that.

My dad said he heard there was a tractor-tipping scene in the movie before he'd even seen it. A very traditional but young couple from my grandparents' church told me they loved the movie for its message at the end.
