Random Pregnant Car Question........

I don't know if this was talked about already...but if a car ish pregnant...how would they get around? I mean, wouldn't their belly drag on the ground if they were driving? Do they just sit around and wait for a baby or do they stay active? Random question...I know.......................

I think it would depend on the car's build. Larger cars and trucks would presumably have an easier time than small, low-slung types.

Using my OC, Ebony, as an example...

Ebony is the mother of twins. She wouldn't necessarily have a hard time in the first and second month of her term, but toward the third month, she'd start slowing down and getting less active because of the extra weight she'd be carrying. Her body would be changing physically too, sides toward the back wheels would be swelling out a little bit. That much weight, however, can put stress on her frame, so that's where she'd have the most problems. Anyway, by the fourth, fifth, and then sixth months, she practically needs complete rest until the baby (or in her case, two babies) is ready to be born.

This all happened in the middle of the Main Cars RP right up to the end.

Oh, and Ebony is a Dodge Viper. She's small and low-slung, unlike, say, a Plymouth Superbird or a Dodge Charger.

LOL i understand what Tai is saying..most animals tummies bulge out to avoid dragging their bellies and to avoid having their tummies caught, drug, torn open...like my pygmy goat who was pregnant with two twins from a 3 foot tall boar XD..they were both half the size of her..but she didn't sag to the ground.but her body bulged out considerably..
Kady's belly kinda sags..but her belly bulges out alot more from the sides..plus dont' forget..cars have very wide bodies..
i've seen cows that had a very long broad belly who barely shown their pregnancy..short cows vice versa..

Considering the bulging sides...

Here's a pic of Ebony with Twins and as you can see her sides are bulging out because she's in term (or the equivalent of being pregnant in the Carsverse)...

Sounds logical to me. If a pregnant car did bulge too low underneath, maybe she'd switch to bigger tires late in pregnancy?

I'm glad I'm a hyooman and can carry all the weight up front, haha.

hehehe, yeah, i think the undercarriage of a car stretches somewhat to accommodate the unborn car, but perhaps the proportion of the bulge is not quite as extreme as it would be for humans, to avoid easily bottoming out (ouch!) on rough roads, etc? As the pregnancy progresses, if they got too big, they could switch to bigger tires or have their suspension tightened so they'd ride a bit higher? Either way, I'm sure they would get equally as uncomfortable as humans would towards the end of it, which could make for some really cranky cars

I would agree with Eva about the size proportions of cars if they were carrying. As well as with Pooky with the a pregnant car being the equivalent of a pregnant goat.

But, what I think is that the car itself must be able to cope with the condition that she's in. She would probably need to have stamina, be in good health (sans any type of medical condition), and otherwise try not to do any strenuous activity like racing. Perhaps she can only travel short distances if she could handle carrying the weight of the baby well, maybe from one end of town to the other.

Of course, she would also have to have medical care just to make sure the baby is healthy and that the mother won't have any complications when it's born.

Well, with this whole dragging bellies idea... how big would a baby car be? For me I'd say they'd be about the size of a shoe box, but that would depend on what type of car they where, for instance a Hummer would be BIG and a Gremlin would be titch. So it wouldn't really matter if they had a bump, unless they had lots of babies or were tubby to begin with. Also if they're pregnant they won't be moving around to much to conserve energy for the baby.

I'd say shoebox-sized babies would be too small except for maybe compacts or small sports cars. I'd say your average four-door sedan(saloon to you Yuropeans) would probably have newborns a bit smaller than an adult dog.

While bored in school today I also came up with a theory for aircraft pregnancy. Large aircraft such as airliners, cargo planes, big helos, etc. wouldn't be too bothered by pregnancy until the last few months, not only because of their large size and strength but also because they'd probably be used to carrying a lot of extra weight. They'd still want to stay on the ground towards the end of pregnancy for health reasons.(and also so they don't accidentally go into labour in mid-air which would really suck)

Smaller aircraft(jet fighters, small planes, most helos, etc.) would probably have to stay grounded after a few months of pregnancy. The extra weight would put too much strain on their engines and bodies; and the change in their shape might make their flight dangerously unstable too.

LOL! no amethyst..i mean Boar goat..it's a big breed of meat goat XD
but yeah..i don't think the mothers would move around much...and their temperments would change..i've observed alot of pregnant animals myself..they tend to rest more..slow down more..and sometimes become nervous and quiet tempered..

I think a newborn car would be appprox 1/7 to 1/5 the size of a fully grown adult car (approx 2 to 2 and 1/2 ft long, bumper to bumper)

I tried working out baby sizes from the little girl car in the movie...



She seems to be a toddler and her mum and dad ( If they are her mum and dad) are quite big cars so she may grow faster or be a bigger baby to start with.

I want to glomp that baby and steal it @.@
