We've seen crusing during the "Sh-Boom" scene, but is that the closest thing to dancing in the Cars world? Is there club, line, or even ballroom equivelants?

hmmm.. some people have used the concept of a club in their fics, but other than that let's take a look at the movie and the video game. Aside from the "cruise" scene, it doesn't appear that cars can dance with each other, per se, but they can move their bodies and shift around on their tires and shocks. If they can do that to any type of music and have a sense of rhythm (as we've seen in "Ramone's hip-hop it up" in the video game), then I think it's considered dancing.
So for other type of dancing? Where it seems to be more of an individual thing, cars could probably get away with line dancing of sorts. Ballroom dancing I doubt would be possible? Unless there's some really fancy way to cruise...

Heh. I can imagine the residents of RS trying to attempt dancing *imagines Doc and Sheriff moshing each other into the walls* Yeah. mosh-pits are fun ^_^ every time we have some sort of dance goin' on, me and my buddies LOVE to mosh each other until we hit a nearby wall! we don't mind the pain...

Yeah, there was this place called Bugaboo Creek here that had a decent mosh pit on a good night before it closed. It was a good time depending on who you'd go with, otherwise the place was kind of a dive.
Mosh pits I think would be dangerous for cars... but good business for Ramone.

Yeah LOL ^_^ Every year we have this 4h camp for highschoolers each summer and we always have a dance on the last night before the next day when we pack up. my mum would ask me where I got these bruises from and I would tell her that we were moshing ^_^

if you look at the final race scene when Doc gets noticed the audience members start to shimmy from side to side not sure if its a dance though :S

i don't see why they can't dance..they got "Feet" so i bet they can dance XD. gawd you guys are making me want to play that video game XD but all i have is a very old nitendo

nintendo 64 I take it? Mine's almost as old as me (behind a few years though. Got it when I was 5 it used to be my stepdad's but my family doesn't use it anymore so he gave it to me. I'm surprised it still works after all these years ^_^) Yeah, Lightning does this cute little dance on the podium which makes me go KAWAII!!!! when I see it ^_^;
