Nice car, too bad about the engine problems. Funny, the old Eclipse usually comes stock with a small spoiler...
Back on topic, I don't think Wingo(or any of the DRH for that matter) is actually meant to be any one specific car...he's just a "generic Japanese sports car", just like how Minny and Van are "generic minivans".
One thing creeps me out though: Look at the body kit that Wingo's equipped with, and compare it with the one on the NFS Carbon eclipse. Nearly exactly the same.

I think I also see another similarity. Take a look at the curve of the roof. Almost exactly the same. Wingo just might be an Eclipse... or close to being one...

To be honest I don't think he looks all that much like an Eclipse at all. The shape is totally different.

People lets not forget two things: A) Look at Nitroade and Leak Less, noth of them are short and are not the right scale lenth to be NASCARs, but they are because they have the same details, only packed into a shorter car. That can apply to any of the characters. B) Wingo is a tuner, and a stereotypical tuner at that, so he is bound to be based on the cars you see parked up at night or in Fast and Furious movies with bodykits etc, and you can by new shaped headlights and realights for cars, so if he had a front end and roofline like cars A, but the rear lights of car B, then he would be car A with a rear light bodykit.

And we ALL need to keep in mind that Pixar never made any car....except most of the MAIN CHARACTERS (Luigi, Sally, Doc, Ramone...etc etc etc etc)....were not designed after anything. They did their darn research, and designed characters to look like something you would see without looking like something specific. As a person who has dedicated themselves to cars (and longer than most of you have been alive).......I think its a bit silly to state one character "IS!!!" a specific vehicle. I think we need to take this with a grain of salt and at least conclude the DRH are crosses of the vehicles we know best
