"Yeah... probably. I'm not going to disappear off the face of the earth anytime soon," said Kamui.
She glanced around outside the door just to make sure no one else was around.
"Besides, we have a bet and a race, remember?" said Kamui with a grin.

"Yeah...and I'm hoping to win 'em this time," Glimmer replied, half-smiling before letting the door close. Barnes gave Kamui a friendly "See 'ya round!" as he pulled away smoothly, allowing Glimmer to sink onto his shocks and go back to the TV, where sporting news was on.
"...on the lighter side of international sports, we go now to Germany and the DTM, where Johann von Klamp's perfect streak continues unabated." This perked Glimmer's attention. "And where there's one winner, there are 19 other losers...or are they really?"

(OOC: And with this post, I think we can honestly say we can wrap up Star Vs Starbutt. ^^ )
"Good luck with that," said Kamui to Glimmer.
She got out and gave a friendly nod to Barnes.
"See you later," said Kamui.
She watched them pull away before she took off to the arena herself.

((Allllllmost. Epilogue?))
"Adi Richter is a CLK-GTR who's had a few race victories but has always ended up playing second fiddle to Von Klamp and his team's predecessor, Jens Glimmer." The aforementioned latter racer was now glued to the screen, the news reducing his worry over his impending "chat" with his Managers.
"At a press conference after today's test at Oschersleben, Richter had this to say..."
"I just race because I love to. It's great that I've made it to the DTM for all my hard work, but I'm not bitter." "Not bitter about always placing second..." the interviewer asked... "Of course not...I don't follow that 'if you're not first, you're last' or 'second is the first of the losers' philosophy. Every time I complete a race...that's satisfaction enough. Trophies are just the chrome on the sheetmetal, no pun intended..."
((Maybe a little reflection time with El Bandito is in order?))

(OOC: Okay.... I can go with that. XD )
<<Yeh did goo'd durin' dem pas't few hou'rz.>> said El Bandito, <<Yeh shoul'd be impress'd, lad.>>
He then noted what was on screen.
<<Hm? Dat Von Kl'mp lad, 'gain? Seemz loike we be seein' mor' ov 'em lateleh.>> said El bandito.

Glimmer sighed longingly. I would be, but sometimes...I just don't think that'll make much of a difference.
He didn't know whether to scoff at Richter for his ideals...or envy him for that same reason anymore.
"So...what are your plans for the future?" "I'll just take life one race at a time. If I win, then I win, and it's good, like I said. I just hope to inspire others to give their hardest and know that their efforts matter more than the number written on the position sheet." The camera cut back to the newsroom. "Von Klamp set the fastest time at Oschersleben test session earlier, easily clearing Richter's time by more than 2 seconds, and the track record - previously held by Jens Glimmer - by more than 4 seconds. When asked for a comment about the new track record, von Klamp simply replied...
'Too slow.'
...in other news..." Glimmer switched off the TV as soon as the article finished, and tried to keep still...to calm down.

He then noted that Glimmer was still shaken.
<<Dun' min'd dat daft nutt'r yeh juzt saw on da teleh. Sumtim'z spee'd doe'z not matt'r. It'z 'ow yeh uze whot yeh'v got. 'Ee kin say whotev'r 'ee wantz, but whot 'ee sayz izn' importan't in da end.>> said El Bandito.

How would you know? You don't know what he uses...or who he's working with. Maybe he's with that FIBBER group... Glimmer worried, as Barnes got onto the highway to the facility. I pity that Richter fellow though...he seems to be oblivious to oblivion.

I guess I'm just paranoid... Glimmer replied. If anything, my actions over the past few hours will probably mean my Managers will want to re...re... It was a word Glimmer couldn't bring himself to say, synonyms included. ...you know.

They wouldn't have me killed...I'm a racer, not a trained killer like that Voiture lady there, Glimmer explained. When they want me r...re...well, you know...they literally mean it. And replacement, as it were, was a fate worse than a slow, painful death to Glimmer.
"Hey Jens! We're almost here!" came a voice over the intercom.

You never know... Glimmer replied, as Barnes pulled into the front driveway of the facility. The building itself was very differently-styled from the clean white box, resembling a run-down factory of sorts (think Saw II), but it was still hauntingly...empty.
Glimmer got out of the trailer and looked it up and down, finding it even more ominous than the sterile Miami facility. A creaky garage door suddenly opened nearby, and he had no choice but to go in...

(OOC: Never seen Saw beyond the previews. Interesting concept, but unnessisarily gory. Just another blood 'n' gore fest. Wasn't too impressed. Anyways, I thought we were going to do another topic for Franzeska von Richthoven vs Jens Glimmer?)
