Poor Lightning, he gets a lot of unwanted touching in the movie. XD XDD I think Lizzie has a thing for Lightning. She calls him a sexy hot rod, takes interest in slapping his rear, and forces him to take a slow drive with her when he should've been with Sally. XDD Oh, she totally does. But she still loves her poor Stanley.

For nearly every character in the show, I could post a reason why I liked them, I really didn' hate anyone, all the characters were very well thought out, had special personalities, but like a real "person" their feelings could change. They were normal, and real....almost human like in a car sense. here's just a few and why I like 'em. #1--Doc Hudson He is and always will be my number one favorite, despite my strange attraction to older more..."wiser" men (Quint -played by Robert Shaw- in Jaws for example), Doc put his stamp on my heart in a way I can't completely describe. He reminds me of my ol' man, and even more of my grandaddy strong (whos long since passed away). He's wise, but stern and most often serious, yet he has that spark o' youth in him that I see reflected in my grandaddy. The youth that he had when he tried to return to racin' never left him though he wouldn't want to admit it. And not once did I hear of Grandpa Strong raisin his voice. I've also been an avid Paul Newman fan for quite some time and I was delighted to hear his voice in this movie. The fact that Doc is a Hornet (and blue for that matter) also brought some good ol' memories to me. An apostle of my church (and a close family friend) owned a Hudson that he had once let me see in its day, I also go to ride in it a good number of times and I always enjoyed that old car as I do all old cars. #2--Lizzy Lizzy was a character that struck me hard and almost had me cryin' in the movie (not just from laughin' either) she has so much of my Grandma and sister in her I was shocked. But my grandma strong suits her most. My grandma in the years before she died was very forgetful and often di'n know what she was talkin' about or even remember it. But throughout her entire life, she had a slap nack sense o' humor that always cheered ya up. She was never the type to scold or get in a fight, she was always opptomistic in an outrageously humorous way. #3--Mater Mater is a reflection of my family to a P-E-R-F-E-C-T. His random hillbilly accent and bright innocent nature fits the life of farmin I was born into (on my daddy's side). He's also got that spark of bright happiness in him but can never get bored of an good old joke. #4--Fillmore and Sarge Because those two don't come seperately, and both their personalities combined remind me of the handsom young man I've been in love with for quite some time. He is actually quite serious and smart as well (the almighty lord sent him to help me with my unintelligence) he also believes "no pain, no gain"-- As for the Fillmore side of him, people call 'im hippie alot (because of his -utterly gorgeous- long shoulder length hair), plus he really cares about the environment and often talks about how the world will be a better place if we all just cared for one another. Despite his unique personality, I'm in love with him! #5--Jay Limo *raises arms* guilty as charged....I watch Jay Leno quite often I could go on, but I will end here so as not to bore you with my life.

[Alright, so I copy and pasted this from the CFU board when I wrote it there...hey, do you expect me to like rewrite it? XD]
I am obsessively attracted to Fillmore for many reasons.
1. He makes me laugh. The whole thing about the blinking lights was just so random and funny, man. I mean, it's just that awed way he looked up at them, and how Sarge just kinda gave that "Why do I hang out with this guy?" look. And his conspiracy theory about the gas companies was very believable-- well it would have been if there was such a thing as organic feul. And here in the "real world" big corporate companies are totally taking control of the economy it's hard to know who to trust. Kay, I'm getting off topic. But all in all, Fillmore just made me giggle so much in this movie.
2. Organic feul. I'm guessing that organic feul is equivelent to vegetarian. And believe it or not, so am I! And I have been for a looong time. Eating meat is soo wrong, and I wouldn't dream of doing so. But anyway, Fillmore was really into the whole idea of organic feul, which is awesome. If I was a VW Bus, I would be getting organic feul from him so much he'd have to feel the need to get to know me. SCORE!
3. Can you say....Hendriiiix, man. He has an awesome taste in music, and I agree wit h Fillmore for saying his spheel about the classics. I'm 14 and my top played bands are the Beatles, the Jefferson Airplane, and Janis Joplin. I may be a teen on the outside, but on the inside I'm much older. Well, when it comes to style anyway.
4. He's a frickin VW BUS. Need I say more? They are THE best cars, and as a matter a fact my mother is looking into getting me one when I turn 16. It's gonna be farrr-out! I'll paint it periwinkle and give it wonderfulll designs, not much different from Fillmore's. If I can get the $ anyway. And then I'll glue one of my beautiful Fillmore McDonald's toys to the dashboard.
5. He's just hot. Alright, I said it. I've been sorta tryin not to be shallow, but I've given up. His, eh, mellow-ness just drew me to him right away. He's just so beauuutiful I can't stand it! I mean sure the mellowness might be because he's on something (if you know what I mean) but I don't mind it. It just adds to his overall personality.
So in the end, we're both very much alike, haha. And these are only some of the many reasons I love him.

When does Fillmore say "Bad trip, man'? XD Also XD Cool. I'm getting a VW Bug. But I plan to get a bus later. Because all classic VWs need to be owned. A good place to start looking is TheSamba, a wonderful resource for all your VW needs. They have loads of bus classifieds, too. Also Organic Fuel DOES exist =D It's called Biofuel officially though. There's a Wiki article on it here. You may want to convert your bus to it to reduce emissions. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME to own a Biofuel-Bus. They already exist. Various people have them. Roger Lippman wrote a book on converting your engine to Ethanol, with specific details for Air-Cooled Engined Volkswagens (Such as a Bus, Bug, Ghia, ect.).

It uses renewable energy, as opposed to Fossil Fuels. Actually, Ethanol WOULD, be the car equivalent of being a Vegetarian, because it's made mostly from corn and other plant products.
As opposed to Fossil Fuels, which ARE formed from the remains of dead plants and animals.
Wow. XD

When does Fillmore say "Bad trip, man'? XD When Lightning messes up the Willys Butte turn and crashes into the cactus, you can hear him say it if you're listening for it. I quite like Chick, for the same reasons I like Rick from The Young Ones: He's an egotistical jerk who is completely ignorant to this fact, and is deluded to how dumb he acts, believing himself to be cool/popular. Characters like that are awesome to watch, for it's funny to see them in their own little world. That, and I've loved Michael Keaton since Beetlejuice. I also like the King, as he's just so likeable. He's charming, friendly and has a great attitude to life. Doc has a tough-but-kind approach to everyone in town. Red reflects my own large-but-shy personality. Guido just looks so cute. ^_^ My Sister is obsessed with Fillmore. Every time I play the game and Fillmore passes by, she makes me follow him around, and gets annoyed when I accidentally bump him. I'm getting her a 7" plush of Fillmore and Guido from Australia for Christmas, after her not-so-subtle hint of "Get me something, ANYTHING, to do with Fillmore!"

I love the "bad trip" line! I was so surprised to hear it in a rated G film. But I laughed so hard at it. Even though no one knew what I was laughing at, haha.
