I know in many ways this has been done to death, but I would really like to know what everyone's favourite character is, but most of all, why? Post who your favourite character is and three (or more) reasons why you like that character! It might be hard to think up three reasons, but it'll make the thread more interesting. I adore almost all of the characters, but Sarge has a slim lead as my favourite. I like Sarge because: 1) His adorable personality. He tries to act all rough and mean, but it's pretty obvious he's got a heart of gold. In the Essential Guide to Cars, it says the Sarge may act tough, but he was the first to sign up to be a member of Lightning McQueen's pit crew. Not to mention his sad little "Well, we wouldn't want him to miss that race of his..." 2) His (almost) open-minded-ness. What other WW2 veteran would be best friends with an organic-fuel brewing hippie? They argue all the time and obviously disagree on a lot of serious issues, yet they remain side by side throughout the entire film, and in the scene where the tractors invade town, he can be seen in the background attempting to rescue Fillmore from an out of control tractor. ;D The Essential Guide to Cars also says that Sarge and Fillmore may argue until the cows (tractors?) come home, but Sarge admits he "can't live without" Fillmore. 3) His short temper. I know, that's not exactley a good quality, but it's funny. One of my favourite lines in the entire movie is "Travellers?! WHAT travellers?!" I mean, who else would snap at Sally like that? ;D It's hilarious. And the fact that, when Fillmore plays his early morning Hendrix, Sarge gets so raging mad that he's literally heaving up and down with each breath. Comedy gold. 4) He's a Jeep. Jeeps are hot.

Why must I choooooose?...
It's a very close tie for me. Doc, Guido, Red, Mater, and maybe even Lizzie. But in the end, I picked Doc. Why? Well, I imagine that if I had suddenly found myself transformed into a car and in Radiator Springs, I get the feeling that he'd be- as Lightning called him- a "grandpa car". That he genuinely cares about the town and everyone in it; that if a lost and frightened car appeared in his town, he'd be right there to take care of them. Like he's the "town father"- he patches up the hurts as a doctor, disciplines as the judge, and seems to act as the epitome of wisdom.
That; and you know that scene in the end of the movie, where Doc and Lightning are racing, and Lightning says "Not today, old man! I know your tricks now!" or something among those lines, and Doc just smirks, then randomly pulls off the track? That noise he makes when he does that- love it.

It is hard to choose, isn't it? I almost did Fillmore, but a figured he had more fans than Sarge.
Amethyst, I know how you feel about not liking a character. I really don't like Sally, but it's for stupid reasons.

Oh wow, this is gonna be really hard cuz I have so many favorites! So I think I'll be able to narrow it down to two if that's ok! 1. Lightning, yeah he's the star of the movie, and usually my favorite characters aren't the star but I really Lightning. Number One his transformation in the movie was amazing, not only was it believable but it was fun. Number Two, he has awesome catch phrases, I think I've only said "Ka-Chow" eighty million times over the last six months. And Three, I really like his voice, Owen Wilson really put himself into the character, and besides I like Owen Wilson 2. Chick Hicks, ok yeah weird how I like the protagonist and the antagonist huh? Oh well what can I say Chick is awesome! Number one, he's lime green that's like my second favorite color in the whole world. Number two, he's the bad guy, what can I say bad guys are hot! Number three, I find it hilarious when he gloats, he thinks he's all that and a bag of chips(mmm...chips...) lol My other favorites are Mater, Sheriff, Doc, and Guido *pit stop*

Quoting what I once said at CFU:
"The King or Chick Hicks (still can't choose between them) - I like the dynamic in the rivalry between them, or constrast of personalities, and I would certainly read any fanfiction depicting how that came about in the past (and I DON'T mean slash fics! Gr! I hate those things...)"

Hmmm... Well, it's kinda hard to choose. There's a slew of them cute little car fellas out there, I'll just try to explain why I like 'em:
#1, Wingo: Sometimes you just fall head over axles for somebody, and Wing, Wing was one of them. He's just reminds me of myself for some odd reason, I'm not a gangsta', but... He's just got a bad-boy additude. Quite sexy if I do say so myself. Just he didn't seem so tough when he was in that Impound...
#2, Chick: More bad-boys, yay-ness! I didn't care for Chicky at first, just seemed like one of those "Your the villian and I don't like you!!" types to people. Chick just needs some full-on, always there, never root for anybody else, fans. And I've been flamed many o' times by people who liked The King or Lighting, but that's their opinion. And I'll stick around to help Chickadee anytime...
#3, Dusty: I just like Dodge Darts, their cute little cars, 'nuff said. Dusty and Rusty are both cuties, but Dusty just rusted my heart when I saw him. He might seem to Some people as a rusty old car with a less-than-perfect company, but I find him down-right snuggly-cute. I always go for little cars, except for that Hummer at the end of the movie with the spinners...
Okay, well, gotta leave for a while, be back to write more! *bumps chest and makes peace sign*

I like Boost....don't ask me why...cause they best i can come up with is cause he's a pretty sweet lookin' car..... but ummmn..... i don't have the "Essential Guide to Cars" so I don't know the scoop on his personality or what not.... but if some one does know....you could message me and tell me...... my second choice is "The King" Strip Weathers. ^_^

My opinion towards Doc was somewhat biased from the get-go, simply because had it not been for him in the movie, I never would've bothered to see it.
I've got this thing for gruff older gentlemen, and on top of that, I'm a fan of Paul Newman. To make it even more deep for me, I had a friend who had a '52 Hornet and when I saw Doc, it brought back good memories.
Beyond that... something about his character. To be perfectly honest, I really don't know why. He's a guy who has a chip on his shoulder about something and he doesn't want anyone to know, even though it effects his personality to a very deep extent. It's something pretty legit, too, that he didn't have to worry about until someone came along who (even though it took a while) realized who he was.
He had his moments of acting impulsively, which made him more like Lightning than I think he realized.
Also, yes. His little "NnnyaaaAAH!" at the end is fracking adorable.
Others, well... heh... Sheriff, Red, the King, Tex... I like the older guys and the shy ones. XD
I've never been partial to Chick, simply because I knew a girl like that and she left a bad taste in my mouth that I'm afraid I will never overcome. Those sorts of people rub me the wrong way. I just can't see being cruel to people and cheating to get ahead. I'm too honest a person.

I wish I could get an audio recording of it. He just goes "NnnyaaaAAH!"
It's so random. His expression in that scene just makes it, too. XD
