I kept trying to find out what Mini meant when she said Van had gotten them lost on their trip to Shakopee for the crazy days, especially because he was obviously embarrassed she'd mentioned that. Maybe you've seen this already, but I finally found something that explains it: www.topix.net/content/kri/3491110186011524789930764826523855021371Turns out there are no crazy days, which would've been fun to read about. It's still a cute article though.

Beats me. The way Van got upset, you'd think Minnie had just told everyone they had attended some big drunken festival.

I was thinking the same thing too. I was like "Hmm, must be an inside joke." I still don't really understand why Van got so upset.
But it's not as funny as his reaction to Ramone showing off his Von Dutch tattoo!

they were seen in the desert...Minny and Van had a look of traveling through the desert for days without a hint of civilization and......they were dirty and covered with bugs......but who knows....GPS' may not always work....i think they made it.....*thinks* uh maybe not.....

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one a little worried about them!

I do hope those two found their way in the end If you wait until after the credits, they're still lost, and have lost their minds.

If the scenes from the epilogue happened in order, then they were lost through all the time it took to put up the Radiator Springs exit sign on the Interstate, restore the racing museum and Wheel Well...that's a long time to be lost!

this thread was really poorly researched so i'm just hopping on to rectify it as i watched "cars" for the first time and was greatly amused by this bit. crazy days - as anyone who grew up or has lived in the upper midwest knows - is a series of days where stores have a large amount of sales, particularly sidewalk sales, and pretty much everyone goes out and shops. it's like black friday but drawn out over several days and earlier in the year - typically spring. lots of folks from canada typically come down to shop on these days too cause everything is so cheap. the car in the movie obviously has a thick minnesotan accent and shakopee is a suburb of minneapolis which absolutely participates in crazy days. a quick web search now will bring up plenty of info. just search "crazy days sales". or "crazy days minnesota". it's been going on forever. clearly someone at pixar just grew up in the midwest - probably minnesota - and wanted to toss in that reference. definitely not an inside joke; most definitely a real thing, and spoken like a true minnesotan at that.
