The planes are quite cute! Some of you may have missed another anthro vehicle show, but my son's quite into "Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks." It's geared for kids, complete with a nice little moral at the end of each episode. The Hummer's name is Sarge. meteorandbigfoot.com/ <--- you can watch 2 preview episodes here

I actually caught one of the episodes of that a few mornings ago.
Those planes were actually animated greatly. And the voices were good, too. Like you said, it looks like something straight from the cars world. I'd actually like to see more of that.
The style is almost exactly the same. I wonder if Pixar did this for the company. ^o.o^

This one is nice...some political ad about airport taxes and subsidies or something, but with living planes that look like they could have come straight out of the Cars world. youtube.com/watch?v=9lG_59yRtLII don't care much for the subject matter, but unlike the previous cartoons posted here, the characters and animation are actually pretty good. Wow! A good rip-off finally! These are cuuute! Those planes were actually animated greatly. And the voices were good, too. Like you said, it looks like something straight from the cars world. I'd actually like to see more of that. The style is almost exactly the same. I wonder if Pixar did this for the company. ^o.o^ I don't think so, honestly. There is a good resemblance, but it doesn't look exactly like Pixar's style... I mean, the animation...

I can't even call it a rip-off. More of a borrowed style. Sure, it isn't movie-quality animation, but then again, it isn't a Movie.

I can't even call it a rip-off. More of a borrowed style. I would second this.

Great, now this discussion is reminding me of one old toon thing. About anthropomorphic cars in some sort of post apocalys world, but the cars themselves resembled more cats and dogs (and maybe more animals) than humans. I have no idea what it was called, just some faint idea of how the two main character looked like. It ran for about ten episodes, about five to ten minutes in length.
I wonder if any of you know about it or can remember it. The main character, some dog-car (headlights were subsituted for eyes in this cartoon), maybe red and male, and the secondary main character was pink female, cat. In the first episode, they got in a crash or arrested or something, and the mentor character of the show fixed them up, giving them powers. The dog-car shot lugnuts out from something above his head, and the cat-car had those extremly spiked tires, and her eyes doubled as headlights. Appearently they didnt in normal characters. Those powers could be called when they wanted to.

I don't remember that one, but here's Tex Avery's "One Cab's Family" which I've always loved and remembered. youtube.com/watch?v=iRWVJfpV_HIThe eyes are animated the same way they are in Cars, too. And this was 1952.

First time I have seen it. May be because of that Iceland was more for Disney than WB. Nice and good storytelling.
