I think Rusty and Dusty were joking about a car that was so rusty, he left no shadow. But I just don't get that

I think they meant he was so rusty and full of holes that the sun just streamed on through. If you've ever seen a piece of metal so rusted that you could kick a hole right in it, that's the idea. My favorite "little things:" (spoilers for MatGL) In Mater and the Ghost Light, there's a Ying-Yang symbol on the oil can in Mater's junkyard. It must've been Fillmore's. I adore the fact that the little lightning bug has a turn signal. In the movie's epilogue, there's a green Dodge Stratus (or Chrysler Cirrus?) that's in most of the scenes. I'm willing to bet if you looked in the Pixar parking lot right now you'd see a car just like it, but who couldn't resist the chance to put his car in the movie? It's a cute vehicle and reminds me of my green Cirrus, RIP. Also from the epilogue, the car parked behind Mack is struggling to see the screen. Why the genius parked behind a semi I'm not sure!

Haha, I was kinda wondering that as well. XD Last thing I'd do is park behind a semi, especally if I was as small as that car was. Isn't that car that parked behind Mack the same one giving him a "wtf?" look on the "Life is a Highway" segment, when Mack was making faces in the tanker?

There is this scene where the color-coded cars that spell out PISTON CUP as they drive around the track. At the bottom of the T there is one car that seems to wink at somebody in the audience.

Did anyone else notice that, during the scene where Mack is being passed by the minivan, it's got the wrong blinker on?

Did anyone else notice that, during the scene where Mack is being passed by the minivan, it's got the wrong blinker on? yes! on the 5th time watching on my new ( and American) DVD lol. and he meeps :? also during the flash back sequence and the credits. Sarge and Fillmore are talking about something. Fillmore's saying something and Sarge almost nods then he quickly jolts up and says something back... I need to lip read and Sarge dances to ^^ ( yeah I have a thing about Sarge )

This is so random, since I'm not a big Chick fan, but I did notice this... right after he speeds in front of Lightning in the final race, causing Lightning to slam his brakes to avoid nailing him, Chick grins and mouths "yes!" I hadn't noticed that before. Also! Though Lightning followed Sally through parts of the "going for a drive" scene, and must've scene her driving with her tailfin up (the Carrera's tailfin normally only rises at highway speed, but Sally seems to have a bit more freedom with hers)... when he remembers driving behind her in the final race, he remembers her with her tailfin down. Was he trying to be chaste? XD

Did anyone else notice that, during the scene where Mack is being passed by the minivan, it's got the wrong blinker on? Lol, that poor Minivan, he (I think) was a bit confused. Lol, and I noticed that when Mack was passing the truck stop, I noticed that when the Minivan stopped, he dropped the mattress or whatever it was onto the ground.

I always thought he had that blinker on to indicate he was pulling out in front of Mack to overtake him, and just didn't have enough time to indicate to pull into the truck stop. On a minor note, somebody finally found the Pizza Planet truck during "Life is a Highway". It's in the same Dinoco gas station from Toy Story. Good times.

About the tailfin on Carrera, the drivers can make it go up or down if they want. I saw one Carrera doing sixty km/h, and the tailfin was up. I guessed that Sally can control the tailfin completly though, and it wont automatically raise up when speeding. That would make some embarrassing moments on the highway, like showing everyone your thong if judging by her reaction when Lightning saw the tatoo

whats? moving tailfins? explain O.o The pinstriping tattoo reminded me of "tramp stamps" that chav ladies have over here in England. Its a tattoo just above the...errr... "rear end" lol. they wear low miniskirts so you can see it even if you don't want to. another little thing I like is how the cars "bounce" around on there tyres... t'is so cute ^^ and Mater wiggling his tow cable like a puppy when he gets excited about helicopters anyone good at lipreading? I wanna know what Sarge and Fillmore talk about in the flash back XD

The King scrabbles his tires when Chick first bumps him, after sideswiping Lightning near the end of the final race. It's... really cute.
Also... he smiles right after Lightning passes him! His expression changes as Chick tries to get around him, however... hmmmmm...

Has anyone noticed that the semi trucks sort of have trucker hats? XD It didn't take me long to, but I watched the movie at least 4 times before noticing. I like it.

Did anyone realize that Leakless, in the big crash scene, smiles right before and during getting hit by the approaching #123 Car?
