Heh, it looks like her glare would go through tank armor, but with the spikes, she wants to look totally dangerous.
The reason is more emotional than physical. It clearly defines her personality. When I introduced her in the Main RP, she was distant, bitter, and did not trust anybody. She was totally at odds with everyone and was having emotional problems because of the way she was being treated at the time.
So the spikes define who she is as an individual.
I'm quite pleased with how she turned out, except for the hubcaps. For some reason, I just can't get them to look right. ^^;;

Gee, I'm in an artistic mood... Here's a revamped version of Sapphire Sky, my first Cars OC...

I still don't get how you manage to make such utterly awesome art on Paint. I have a hard enough time trying to draw normally...

I'll give you a hint. I use models (i.e. pictures of real cars) as references.

Feeling bored, I decided to draw Ebony in wolf form, showing a set of different expressions and emotions. @disclaimer: Ebony, her character, personality, and story belongs to me. Wolf design belongs to Numbah29ondatracks.

All your wolves look great, and this is no exception.

Done! Whew! I worked for hours on this using MS Paint! This is an art trade I did with Numbah29ondatracks... consisting of our characters, Jenna and Ebony, as wolves... Howling at the Moon  Hope ya like! ^^;;

Another one of Ebony (the wolf's) emotions. Looks like she's gonna bite someone really soon.

Hm, first time I have seen her having yellow butt. Actually first time I noticed that. Strange that I would miss that detail.
Well done. I always wonder how you do it. Now I get the urge to ask for a lineart of Wolf Ebony to color in photoshop. And thus, I do it by this method. I will try to shade and that, though I dont know if I can accomplish hair effect.

I might just do a coloring contest with her someday if I can get around to making the lineart. Anyway, here's another emotion that Ebony's showing. She's sleeping and with her puppies hours away from being born, she needs it. If you can spot it, her belly looks a little swollen. Even with two pups inside her, it shows clearly, as she was quite malnourished while she was growing up.

You make the tails so fluffy! I think that's where the pups would sleep... as long as they didn't get tangled in the fur.

 Finally re-discovered the trick I learned long before proper shading and highlighting. It enables me however to shade and light pictures already done and compressed. Shading first, but it got the bad treatment. Highlighting did go however better. Photoshop technicalities: Shading done on separate layer, a gray color (#109,109,109) and the layer multiplied. Smudge and blur to effect. Highlighting done on separate layer, pure white, opacity 15%. Base lines put in, then colored area selected and feathered to five pixels. New layer, opacity 15%, hide the old one, and paintbucket white. Highlights done.

I am not the best colorist in the world, but I can tell you few things that you can do once you got Photoshop working. But it would be best that once you pick up few obvious things, you go look for tutorials.

I'm planning on looking at the tutorials first anyway.
