"Up the ramp," Phoenix called down. "I'm tied up with Lynx at the moment."

"Totally understandable," said Ebony as she drove up the ramp and entered the loft, "I'm just coming to check up on you."
Artemis chirped and started to wiggle around in her sling, wanting down.

"We're settling back in," Phoenix said with Lynx under, nursing happily. "Lynx is getting use to all the noise that goes on downstairs."
Iara chirped happily seeing her aunt from where she was still in her and her sister's crib.

"That's good to hear," nodded Ebony, who then reached down and stroked her daughter's roof to calm her down and stop her from struggling in her sling. She took Artemis out and put her down with Iara and settled down to rest for a moment. "So, still looking for options for Lynx?"

"We're still looking at them we haven't decided on any yet," Phoenix said as Lynx backed out from under her and chirped happily, hearing her aunt's voice.

Ebony smiled and leaned toward Lynx to give her a gentle nuzzle, sharply aware of the infant's blindness. She then sat back and thought for a bit. "I can ask Dr. Morrison," said the Viper, "he's usually on the top of the latest medical breakthroughs and he might have some connections."

"That would be helpful," Phoenix said with a nod.
Lynx reached out with her antenna and stroked the Viper's fender as she put her tiny tires against her.

"Yeah, good thing I still have his phone number," said Ebony, "and I think Ken has some connections among his game-maker friends too."
She let Lynx check her out, not minding the two tiny tires on her fender. The Viper breathed gently through her vents at the little girl, taking in her scent.

"That will help," Phoenix said chirping to Iara as she went to get her out of the crib to play for a little while. "At least now she's starting to tell who's who a lot better."
Lynx patted the Viper's fender with her tires.

"That's good," nodded Ebony, as she took her own daughter out and place her on the ground to sniff around, "Seems she's very interested in me at the moment."
She tilted her fender down toward Lynx, chirping softly at her.

"She gets curious a lot like Gryff," Phoenix said as the Camaro sniffed at one of Ebony's fender spikes. "Though she doesn't wander off like her brother."
Iara chirped happily as she saw Artemis as she crept towards her.

Ebony nods, "Yeah, I know. It's the same with Artemis." She watches Lynx carefully as the little infant girl sniff at one of her fender spikes. Even when she was not in motion, those weapons mounted on the side of her fenders in front of her wheels were dangerous for small children. She carefully manauvered them away from Lynx, not wanting her to accidentally get hurt.
"I bet taking care of twins is a lot more work than one," she said, knowing that from experience.
Artemis chirped back, giggling playfully as Iara crawled over, happy to see her cousin.

"You're telling me," Phoenix said nudging a ball towards Artemis and Iara. "Its exhausting."
Lynx stopped and flicked a mirror, hearing the jingle ball rolling across the floor.

"Heh, no argument here," smirked Ebony, watching the jingle ball roll toward Artemis and Iara, "and I definately know the feeling."
Artemis promptly pounced on the ball as it came toward her, causing it to jingle and bounce out from under her. She chirped and went over to nose at it and pushing it back over to Iara. Ebony wondered if Lynx would be able to play too.
"Hey, is Rico still asleep? I wanted to ask him something," Ebony said suddenly after a bit of silence.

Several cars pulled off the Interstate and onto the exit for the route to Cortez, surveying their surroundings with a certain nonchalant wariness. The one in lead was a Maserati 3200 GT, medium silver-gray in color, and his attendants were two Lexus types in neutral colors. The Maserati casually waved his antenna back and forth as he cast his dark eyes over the landscape. Cesare Lancione was definitely looking for someone in particular, and he had an old account to settle. But even then, he and his companions had to stop and drink something once in a while, and they pulled into a truck stop ten miles out of Cortez.
Liska, Dawn and Daniel were taking a few young wolfbikes on a training run along the local roads, and were giving the animals a break at the time that the trio pulled in. They took little notice of the three, except to express amongst themselves the opinion that if any cars looked like mobsters, this lot would certainly qualify. Later, they would wish they'd paid a lot more attention at the time.
Kendall was at Mike's lower-level dojo, drilling and practicing with him and Jay. He was due to finish up and rejoin Ebony in a couple of hours.
