(((((OOC: As far as I know, it's Ebony, Ondine, Tex, and the Weathers'. Oh, and Rave too. He happens to hate Ebony with a passion. I'm using him to pull off the Prejudice storyplot that I came up with.)))))

(((Sounds interesting, might play out well.)))
Phoenix followed Boost as he lead the way to the resturaunt. She couldn't help but noticed how some were giving Boost looks of distain. "Was it like this with Ebs too?" She asked.

"Yeah," Boost replied, ignoring the glares, "But she's having a harder time of it. She doesn't deal too well with all the prejudice."

Ebony just sat staring at her citrus infusion, thinking just what other problems that she might get during her stay in Smasherville. As if that Eddie demon wasn't enough.

"Its not easy to deal with it to begin with," Phoenix said. "I just hope no one wants to bring up past around here."

"I hope Ebs doesn't run again," said Boost, "Like she did last time. I don't like seeing her so bothered by that kind of treatment."
(((((OOC: I think I want to keep the cafe scene separate for a bit so I can have a little bit of interaction between Ebony and Ondine, Tex, and the Weathers. And I go to bed now. I'm so sleepy. Goodnight.)))))

"Oh, you must be Edward's teammate," began Eddie's mom in a rather motherly tone. "That I am. Of course, he's more of my...apprentice," Chick Hicks replied. "Have you been teaching him well?" "Of course, here we also treat our backup drivers like family, don't we Eddie?" those last three words were not only directed at Eddie, they were also laced with a slight threatening tone just so Eddie wouldn't disagree.
Eddie, of course, replied with a gulp and a forced nod.

Anastasia hurried into the pits, turning in where David should have been. He had left right away, meaning that the "trouble" would most likely be starting up right away. She had known who he had meant by "her boyfriend", but she'd let it slide. She had more to worry about than his teasing.
David stopped a distance behind Chick, one eyesheild raised as he looked at Eddie, nonverbally asking if the Toyota needed any help.

"Now, why don't I show you guys the ropes of this place?" Chick invited, putting special emphasis on that one word to make Eddie start trembling. "Edward, you're shivering. Is there anything I should know about?" his father asked... "No...just race weekend jitters." "Okay, but if anything goes wrong, just tell us, okay?" "No worries, Mr. Kuramoto," Chick replied as he approached Eddie, "Nothing's gonna go wrong with him today..."
...before whispering in close..."if you don't try anything."

David really didn't like how Eddie was reacting. Perhaps intervention would be best...
He pulled up beside Chick and gave him a pat, forcing the smile on his face. "Why don't you let a real seinor take care of this, Mr. Hicks- I'm sure you've got plenty to do before the race starts. I'll take this lovely family for the tour while you get checked over. Better safe than sorry, you know."

Chick looked very perturbed as David pulled up beside him and "offered" to take his "guests" off his treads. Still, he tried to keep his dignity and temper in check for the time being.
"Oh, how nice of you to show up. My test session's not until later in the day...about the same time as Edward's, in fact. I'll just show him our garage, and then I'll let you take over the rest. Don't worry, nothing bad's gonna happen."

(Chick has dignity? o.O)
Well, he managed to keep his temper. David wasn't really expecting that.
"I'll come with then, so I don't end up repeating any information. No need to bore them to death with something they've heard before, after all."
(Probably should go to bed now... Night y'all!)

Still? I dunno.... maybe it's just me but maybe it's a sign of some sort. Maybe he's about ready to move on and this is just the first step? Kamui thought spoke.

Shroder glared at Glimmer.
"Oi! An' whot do YA want, Da'th Vadcar?" said Shroder dangerously.
Before any words could be exchanged, Nightshade came over and put a tire infront of Shroder.
"Leave him to me, Shroder. I can take care of him, man. Just you handle all the little stuff, okay?" said Nightshade.
Reluctantly, Shroder left to go mind his collection of tools. Nightshade looked at Glimmer and rolled his eyes.
"Kamui's at the helo enclosure. Why do you want her anyways, man?" said Nightshade.

"I don't think Ebs will try, not when she's with Ondine." Phoenix said.

Glimmer raised an eyevisor at Shroder's threat. At least his own effect hadn't worn off quite yet. Still, he kept his cool. Then another car came up to him and told him where Kamui was.
"I just want to have a few words with her, that's all. Anyway, thank you for your assistance," he replied politely, with a chill like champagne, before turning to leave.

Nightshade didn't like where this was going. As soon as Glimmer left, he spoke to Shroder.
"I want you to stay here. I'm not sure if I'm liking what I'm seeing, so I'm goin' to go and check it out, man," said Nightshade.
"Yea'h. Sur'. Whotev'r," said Shroder with a shrug.
With that, Nightshade steathily was following Glimmer. He made extra sure that he wouldn't be seen.
